  Barbizon and the Hotellerie du Bas-Breau are an excellent choice if you have just arrived from the U.S. and don't want to stay in Paris. It's only an hour's drive southeast of Paris CDG airport and a 15-minute drive to the Chateau de Fontainebleau. The hotel is wonderfully restful with a pool and large garden.
