The owners were very friendly and accommodating about the fact that we had been delayed at the Eurotunnel terminal in Folkestone and had therefore arrived late for the evening meal. This hotel was a very pleasant surprise for an unbeatable price. I travel a lot and I highly can recommend it.

  All staff delightful and helpful. Loved the setting and the fact that all the rooms faced the lake. We asked for a quiet room and we got one. Very comfortable room which was beautifully decorated and very comfortable and spacious. It was good to have a balcony as well. Free parking. The small castle is pretty and our family room in the annexe was very large and modern. The swimming pool and table tennis were an added bonus as was the communal lounge/diner. The owners were very friendly and the atmosphere so relaxed. We would love to return and stay in one of the beautiful rooms in the castle. Breakfast, served in the castle, was great.

  We had a balcony overlooking the cathedral which was lovely especially at night with the lights glowing. All members of staff were extremely helpful and seemed to want go that extra mile to assist us. Old fashioned "nice". Breakfast and dinner were very good. This was our first visit and we based ourselves at - Excellent, helpful staff. The location is very central, being ideally placed to enable one to leave the car in the car park. With Paris just over an hour away by train it was ideal. The room was lovely and the bed extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the free newspapers and magazines and the minibar (free) was refilled with soft drinks every morning. For four nights it was very much 'home from home' and I expect that we shall return.

Situated a mile or so outside Albert centre, which is a pleasant enough town with a few restaurants and the magnificent Basilica. The breakfast was the usual French buffet with a good choice of cereals, ham, cheese, croissants etc. Overall a very good stay. - Ideal location for exploring the Somme battlefield. Good, clean comfortable rooms with great showers. Stayed for 2 nights, had breakfast both mornings set us up for the day really well. Restaurant menu was pretty good value for money compared to other places we ate out at. Friendly, helpful staff who looked after us well. Recommended if you are looking for a base from which to explore the area.

Room 217 was in the eaves but had a great view of the castle and the lake from the dormer window and also had a slightly separate bedroom area for our daughter. The village is beautiful the castle worth a vi - The hotel is located perfectly by the small lake with a picturesque view of Pierrefonds castle. Spacious, clean rooms with modern bathroom. Very helpful English speaking staff. We had excellent dinner and lunch at a hotel restaurant - probably best during our 14-day stay in France. The village and castle are charming and last but not least: no mass tourism. All in all - a very quiet and relaxing place to visit.
