  It was in a very convenient place for accessing the ferry at Calais the next day. It was in a very close to the motorway. The availability of facilities for preparing our own meal in the evening was ideal as there is nowhere nearby to eat and we are both vegetarian and I am coeliac so eating out in France is very difficult anyway. - very friendly... what people say » and relaxed atmosphere, we will definitely stay there again, being dog owners we particularly liked the dog friendly nature of the owner, a great dog walking area adjoining the grounds, Ideal for catching a ferry at Calais.

  All staff delightful and helpful. Loved the setting and the fact that all the rooms faced the lake. We asked for a quiet room and we got one. Very comfortable room which was beautifully decorated and very comfortable and spacious. It was good to have a balcony as well. Free parking. We emailed in advance to see if we could get an evening meal, and Ingrid and Valentine replied straight away with details of evening meals and cost. The bedroom was very comfortable and very clean. The location is very central, being ideally placed to enable one to leave the car in the car park. With Paris just over an hour away by train it was ideal. The room was lovely and the bed extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the free newspapers and magazines and the minibar (free) was refilled with soft drinks every morning. For four nights it was very much 'home from home' and I expect that we shall return.

Situated a mile or so outside Albert centre, which is a pleasant enough town with a few restaurants and the magnificent Basilica. The breakfast was the usual French buffet with a good choice of cereals, ham, cheese, croissants etc. Overall a very good stay. - Ideal location for exploring the Somme battlefield. Good, clean comfortable rooms with great showers. Stayed for 2 nights, had breakfast both mornings set us up for the day really well. Restaurant menu was pretty good value for money compared to other places we ate out at. Friendly, helpful staff who looked after us well. Recommended if you are looking for a base from which to explore the area.
