  The apartment was light, airy, clean and spacious. The facilities were very good and it was beautifully decorated. The location was wonderful, overlooking the water and only a few steps from lots of eateries. The owner was delightful and a pleasure to deal with. We enjoyed everything about the apartment. - We loved arriving with the moon glisteni... what people say » ng on the sea in front of the house, and waking up to the sun shining in the windows and showing off the mud flats left by the low tide. Excellent food can be had at breakfast or at dinner and from the photos on the wall I gather the husband has received some well-deserved awards for his cooking.   The friendly staff who allowed us to leave 1 suitcase and a golf bag with them for a few days whilst we travelled "light" to the south of France and then returned to stay one last night in the hotel. Also Justine booked a taxi for us to go to airport and was able to give us quotes etc for the trip.   We loved the room which was a converted priory complete with vaulted ceiling and chandelier. It was across the lane from the cathedral which was spectacular. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. It was a really quiet location with a comfortable bed. The staff were welcoming and, having made a request for additional bedding, this was sorted very quickly. Despite being located next to the cathedral the room was well sound proofed.   Fabulous surroundings, great food and lovely staff. Was pricey but you felt it was worth it for the relaxing feel you left with. Bathroom very nice and room comfortable. Thanks to the chef - dinner was wonderful. - Staff was wonderful and very helpful with activities in the region. The chateau is beautiful and a great location.
