  We loved the ambience and the tranquility, this is not a cheap hotel, but it was special. The staff were very attentive, the dinner was fantastic. The food was well prepared and the quality was excellent. The grounds and the gardens were perfect for a stroll in beautiful countryside. - Very relaxed feel together with excellent service. I thought it was a little gem and since we have visited the Loire area on a number of occasions wondered why we never came across before.

  The women conscierges were wonderful, allowing us to relax in France andpractice our flawed French. We were able to picnic poolside after hours,just relax in a beautiful house. We had many requests for extra towels,ashtray for cigars, directions, etc, and each was met with a smile. Wewould love to return. We also traveled with a 13 yr old daughter,... what people say » alsopleased with pool and lovely ground - A truly beautiful, comfortable and quiet hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Ambroise is a lovely town and is a great place to stay and take day trips to the area's many chateaux, and the chateaux at Amboise itself is lovely. If I were to go back again, I'd want to stay again at Le Manois Saint Thomas. I recommend it highly!

  An outstanding choice for a bed and breakfast location in Amboise in the Loire Valley. Excellent location close to the major walking street shops and excellent restaurants as well as the chateau and Clos de Luce -the Da Vinci house,Tastefully furnished and beautifully decorated comfortable accomodations and a magnificent walled garden and swimmin... what people say » g pool. Excellent breakfast and a wonderful ambience throughout. However the most oustanding aspect of Au Charme Rabelaisien was our hostess Sylvie wh - This was a delightful B&B. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room was enormous. The bathroom was bigger than some of the hotel rooms we have stayed in, with a large bath in which to luxuriate. We also enjoyed the town. Very relaxed and with many dining options to choose from. An ideal place as a base to explore the Loire Valley and it's many Chateaus. Our host Sylvie was a delight. Extremely helpful and obliging , with a wonderful bubbly personality. Would rate this as the best B & B we h

  I really enjoyed my time in Amboise. To some extent that was due to the quality of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. The position of the hotel was great and allowed us to explore Amboise on foot with great access to restaurants and shops. I also enjoyed the garden at the hotel and the feeling of openess that it gave you. - It was clean, ... what people say » the staff was friendly and helpful. The setting and landscaping was great.
