The hotel has been / is being substantially modernised and there are currently some odd contrasts between "before" and "after" - eg very advanced bathroom squeezed into somewhat limited space and alongside a small bedroom. Parking was readily available. The décor is not to everyone's taste but was homely and comfortable with surprisingly modern bathroom.

  Location, close to the canal du Rhin au Rhone to start our bicycle tour in the Alsace. No problem to leave the car on their parking space. Possibility to put the bicycles inside during the night - The staff were very helpful when I had trouble setting my gps. Bus outside hotel to go to Strasbourg

  L'ami Fritz was a gem. Ottrott is a strategically located village for exploring the Alsace Wine Route as well as the Vosges Mountains. The hotel was charming, rooms comfortable and quiet, hotel staff very friendly, and the hotel owner chef offers wonderful gourmet dinners, Breakfast is served in a delightful room and is excellent.   This is a very nice small guest type hotel in a convenient location if visiting the ww!! Sites. It is easy to find along the road although quiet. We had a room in the back. They have a lovely garden setting right outside the rooms in the back and we relaxed for a while before dinner.
