  We stayed two nights here and enjoyed an excellent dinner each evening with demi pension and the staff automatically knew we had eaten there the previous evening and offered different choices.

  Bernice and Norman are a lovely couple who immediately make you feel very welcome and at home in The Porte Valette, which is obviously a labour of love for them. An excellent location in the ancient part of the town. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the attention to detail is very obvious.   The evening meal was homecooked and excellent and breakfast with preserves made by the owner Jeff and a huge bowl of coffee. He also had space in his garage for me to put my motorbike - Very friendly owners. Nothing was too much trouble. Home cooked food was lovely. Quiet village location.
