  This hotel may be only rated two stars but the hostess,family and staff are definitely worth so much more. I would highly recommend this hotel to all travellers passing through Auvergne.   We stayed at the Ace Hotel in Brive last year, on our way home from our holiday in the Tarn region of France. It was our first experience of the chain and were very impressed by their standards. For that reason, we decided to choose another from the Ace chain for our overnight stopover on the way back from the Ardeche to Calais earlier this month.... what people say » Once again, we were not disappointed. The hotel was easy to find and close to the main roads. The welcome from the receptionist was friendly and th - Perfect stopover hotel on the way down to South of France, in a beautiful location as very near Volvic! Lovely, understanding staff, very clean everywhere and really very comfortable beds for a good night's sleep. Handy walking distance to local restaurants too!   The Hotel was very clean and well looked after, with a very good Restaurant below and parking on site. The price was excellent and I would highly recommend as short stay option - Staff was friendly and accommodating. Management doing a great job maximizing the comfort and coziness of this older building.

She immediately sent up a repair man who fixed it by plugging in the lamps to the wall socket - whoops. Comfortable and clean, everybody friendly - best of all the restaurant, wood fired pizzas - fab and lots of other things to select plus a great wine list.
