The location is very good, not far from the Île de la Cité with the Nôtre Dame. The staff was friendly and helped us with parking and finding our way. A metro station is very close to the hotel, about 100 meter. The entrance to the hotel is quite nice. The room that we had was very good for being in a two star hotel. The staff in the lobby was very friendly and offered a shuttle service to CDG which was cheap and good.

The place had character on the outside. In a good location close to the Notre Dame. Poor service. Receptionists are either on the phone or looking down the earth. They do not make any effort to make you comfortable after a long flight. In the morning around 08.00 o'clock there was a lot of noice of the garbage truck that went through the streets. Our children had a room with windows looking out over an inner court, that room was much quieter. That room had a airco machine, our did not. You have to get used to the subway which passes right under the hotel, at least it felt that way. Every time that a subway passed the station you could feel it in your body. The room was shaking, but this is very common in Paris I have Heard. No aircon (minor problem). The room and furnitures are old. And the elevator is very slow. Flat pillows. lift is a little small-but works well, the area is close to busy roads and as the weather was hot and we were on outer rooms, it was hard to sleep on one night. The hotel is a bit worn out and needs renovation though everything worked alright.Not enough electric sockets. Limited breakfast..no hot food at all. Compact room, double bed not queen size which is more the norm . Room is a little small. Rooms a bit small and dark on the lower floors. Metro, turn to Eiffel tower & pickpocket emergency. Noise outside, absence of computer for guests, room too small. Metro noice, but still not bad. Room was a little dingy. Leaving at 5am the gentleman in charge did not assist me with the luggage and I thought that was not very nice....he went back to sleep after he opened the door...other than that everyone else was great specially the cleaning lady. The bed is very uncomfortable and small. Like most hotels in Paris, the rooms were very small. However, I've found that unless you have quite a large budget, that's normal for Paris. The elevator was a bit old and slow, but it did the job. It was a little expensive for what you get .... but all Latin Quarter hotels are expensive. We decided to have our breakfast somewhere else as the hotel breakfast was served down in the basement and felt a bit claustrophobic to us. Tiny rooms. It was a bit expensive given to the standard of the hotel. Very basic. No air and expensive for a 2 star hotel. We paid almost 200 euros per night. bathroom. I got bitten by bed bugs. When I told reception they wouldn't accept this and said my bites were just from Mosquitos. I tried to tell the so future guests would not have to go trough the hell that I have been through, all from only one night in Paris!. bedbugs!!. Bedbugs! Expect to get bitten, and careful that you don't carry them home with you. Other reviewers have said the same thing. I went to bed at 2 am and by 5 am I had left the hotel, but despite only spending 2 hours in bed, I was bitten several times, am itchy and red still, days later.
