What people say
The room and bathroom were recently renovated, well heated, clean and
spacious (spacious is rear for Paris). No bedbugs, which I heard is a
problem for many Paris hotels. The straff were friendly and helpful. 3
minutes to subway. An hour walk to Galeries Lafayette (on high heels:),
a bit longer to Notre Dame. Well-lighted street with many cafes and
bars. I booked in advance and asked for a quiet room. The staff were
really kind - I think I got the most quiet room (3d floor, in the back),

Extremely clean and comfortable! Stayed just a night but wish I'd stayed longer -- it was so much cleaner and cheaper than an apartment I'd put up at previously for business reasons. They also help you carry your luggage up and down the stairs whenever they hear you coming. Great service. Can also wait in common living room area while waiting for flight/last minute packing.
The room was very clean, comfortable, welcoming; the bathroom was clean,
great in size, with lots of hot water. The linens were very clean. The
coffee in room was an added bonus with an electric kettle that I really
appreciated. My price was great, and under what I have previously paid
for two nights in Paris. Optional breakfast, which I did not add on.
Location - right outside the metro station on line 2 made it very easy
to get around. Cleanliness - couldn't beat it, cleaned daily with
fresh towels etc each day. Modern - nice modern furnishings and
comfortable bed. Staff - Staff were really friendly, helpful and polite.
Cleaned the room well daily, offered us drinks on check out.
We liked the location. It was outside the tourist area but very easy to travel to the center of Paris. The metro was around the corner and therefore easy to get to wherever you needed to be within reasonable time. The hotel is clean, comfortable. We did not eat breakfast there as we chose to eat closer to Paris center.
The hotel was very friendly. The weather in Paris was extremely cold -2
and the room was always warm and welcoming. Free wi-fi was an added
bonus. The beds were made every day and clean towels were supplied. The
showers were particularly fantastic and the bathroom large.
The best nights sleep I have had in 2 months of traveling, the bathroom facilities were perfect, the security and staff members were excellent. It was quiet and central to the underground train system. Loved it and would recommend this hotel to all travellers.
Loved the fact that it was minutes away from the metro made it super convenient. The owner even ran out to get us a fan as it was so hot. The bathrooms were amazingly clean and new. Will definitely stay there again.
Good cost/benefit ratio, nice and friendly staff.
Gret location, just steps away from the Menilmontant underground station. Rue Oberkampf is also a great choice for those who want to be near some exciting nightlife.
Very well-designed rooms, larger than any hotel in this price range I've seen in Paris. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Wifi is not only free, but it works. Free water in the in-room fridge.
Staff is very friendly and always ready to help. Hotel has kindly
allowed an early check-in at no additional fee, helped us with taxi and
luggage storage. Room was quite simple but clean.
Great helpful staff. Lovely modern rooms, beautiful bathroom. In a trendy neighbourhood. Ask for a quiet room away from the street as weekends are noisy. I did not hear a sound!.
Very good option in Paris, fair price, good location (area is full of cafes, restaurants, bakeries, etc. and metro is just steps away) and staff is really friendly and helpful.
Absolutely great hotel, the owner was super friendly. A little distance away from the main sights in Paris, however, right next to the Metro station so very easy to get around.
Great room, fair size for Paris, harwood floor, comfortable bed, safe in
the room and good bathroom with great shower. A good adress in Paris,
great value for money.
Staff were friendly and helpful despite the fact none could really speak English. Facilities were good and rooms clean. Kettle available for tea and coffee.
Helpful stuff, close to metro, lively street, easy to reach any attraction by metro, everyday cleaning. Overall cozy hotel.
Friendly family-run hotel, rooms and bathrooms are new and clean. Excellent location for Oberkampf/Belleville/Lachaise.
Location is very good, room nice size and very clean. Wifi reception good, friendly staff, new bathroom.
Small hotel. Clean and quiet even though close to metro station. Very friendly staff!!.
the staff was really nice and helpful - the hotel is in a fantastic position.
Very nice and clean hotel! Staff was very friendly and supportive.
The location, the design of the room, the size of the room.
The room is very cozy, with free drinks and wifi.
Good decor, nice ambiance, friendly service.
It is a comfortable and easy hotel.
Clean room. Nice staff.
Location, Comfort, wifi.
Everything.
helpful (Algerian/French) staff, offered to lug large bag up four floors. A rarity in Paris in that they didn't try to sell me any services! Would definitely use again, close to Menilmontant metro and local services.
Very clean room and bathroom, though very small one. Coffea and tea
machine available, as well as fridge. Location just one corner away from
the Metro Station.
Wifi connection was wonderful. Close to Metropolitain. Free water bottles.
The hotel was very close to the station, cozy and friendly staff.
Good bed and bathroom Boiler for cafe and tea.
The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the Menlimontant metro station, which is very convenient. It's also easy to get to Monmartre by metro or walk to the Lachaise cemetery. There were artisan markets the day I arrived with some beautiful pieces. A couple of days a week there are also good quality produce markets with an amazing array of olives on offer. Wifi worked in the room and the decor looked like it had been fairly recently updated eg fittings in the bathroom.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Construction underway really close, could be a problem, not for us
though - we did not stay at the hotel in the daytime. A bit noisy on
Friday night, but again not for us - we also went out and came in late,
but could be a problem for those who go to bed early. No elevator, but
for those who want to explore the city and walk a lot, stairs should not
be a problem:) elevators in Paris are rear - just accept that and
don't pack much.
The streets were noisy at night. As there wasn't air con, you have to open the windows, and the window was directly above the head, which made the noise quite unbearable at times.
The towels were clean but thin, with only one bathmat, one bath towel
and one hand towel in the room: not enough. The street was noisy, almost
too much so. The location was great from the east (Menilmontant metro)
but not from the west.
Noise - we could hear loud music at night until the early hours coming
from a nearby bar, it was really quite loud. If we hadn't been so
tired and slept well it would have been really annoying. Value - quite
expensive for a very small room but this is Paris afterall.
The hotel is next to a bistro and on the Friday night it was pretty noisy late into the night.
Room size is a little on the small side, but in Paris you have to expect this when travelling.
Must say it gets pretty noisy in the evening so if its hot and you have to leave the windows open it will be a challenge sleeping but the owner did compensate by getting us a fan and made no fuss about it we had ours in ten minutes.
No elevator, but staff helps with luggage. Staff doesn't speak english or any other language than French. That can be quite challenging when trying to solve anything a little bit more complex.
It is not really a hotel, it is more like a B&B.
No elevator. Tiny bath soap bar.
They do not speak English very well, but overall we were quite happy.
Liked everything and will return.
No elevator but the receptionist carried my heavy suicase.
No elevator and rooms were small (but it's France so normal).
No elevator, hard to get luggage up, because stairs are narrow, but stuff helped. Attic room is a bit too small.
Nothing.
Construction next door at 8:30 in the morning, but not fault of hotel. Walls thin so could hear guests talk when they came in at 2:30 in the morning - hard knock against wall sorted that out though!.
The view at the backyard was too residential in a bad way, my room was a low-ceiling loft on the third floor.
no elevator, i need to bring my luggage to 3rd floor. mostly, the staff don't speak english, but it still ok.
small room, very noisy at night because of disco until 5 a.m.(weekend).
Street noise, Stairs.
Nothing.
Staff didn't speak any other language but French. Breakfast room was
out of order. On tv only French channels.
The staff could not speak English. No elevator. During summer no AC, kind of a let down. Room quite small. No parking garage nearby.
The area was a bit rough on Saturday night. From the bedroom we could
hear trouble around 4 in the morning but the hotel is cozy and the staff
very friendly. Breakfast was a bit akward as we didn't expect a
table with 4 chairs in a small room and the receptionist making
breakfast.
Window in front of another room No bidet.
Steep stairs- no lift at all. The compact room could get a bit stuffy even with the fans on. If you opened the window, you could hear street noise for some time into the night as there is a bar on the corner close by.
Meant to be smokefree but curtains stank of smoke. Bar cafe downstairs had loud noise until 4.30am. We only stayed 1 night. Went to Holiday Inn I. Paris which was 5star perfect!!.
