it's a nice and comfy hotel, the staff was effective. close to Gare du Nord. it was great staying at Hotel Maubeuge. Loved the staff - they were great. The staff were very nice and spoke english, and were patient if they did not. It was very close to the Gare du Nord therefore it was very easy to get to the main attractions. I would reccomend it for anyone wanting to have a city break in Paris.

The location is good because it is close to Gare de Nord train station which is a good centre for getting the metro and bus to different parts of Paris, and also the RER to CDG Airport. We were very satisfied.Very nice staff. Polite and kind. Had internet surf terminal that was REALLY good to have. Beware though. The PC has "french" keyboard :) you need to SHIFT to get to the numbers... Parking facility nearby at a discounted (50%) and affordable price. Good breakfast at a competitive price. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, patiently respecting my attempts to speak in French. On our arrival, the proprietor gave my young daughter the hotel card, in case she became separated from me - a gesture I really appreciated! The location was excellent for us, right next to the Gare Du Nord, and only 40 minutes walk from the river at a good pace.We stayed for 4 nights (28/01-31/01). The hotel is a 2 star not 3 star as website suggested. We only needed somewhere to sleep - for that itwas a simple clean comfortable room. The only reason I wouldn't recommend it was the very noisy street -didn't get much sleep but for one night that was ok. It was just a place to sleep the nights. Would have liked more info on web site about whether there were towels supplied or not and whether there was hair dryer available. the bath towels are a little too small.Few suggestions: every room needs to be vaccumed everyday,clean towels for every room..but we really enjoyed our stay,no complaints!. nope, you get what you pay for. The room was a bit small for three people and one of the beds was a camper, but it didn't make too much of a difference overall. The decor was quite dated and some fixings were loose / not working, would have prefered another mirror on the dressing table in the room.There were a bad smell in the bathroom, Tv reception was bad and none on English.
