The politeness of personal. Combination of location, cost, and staff still can't be beat. I have been staying there for 20 years of visiting Paris. It has been recently rennovated and modernised (unfortunately with a concomitant rise in room rates). Instant hot water and great water pressure for showering. It is a 3-minute walk from the train station gare de l'est and is in the midst of a bustling, mutli-ethnic and colorful scene. Try to get a room facing the street boulevard de Strasbourg, especially if like people watchi. all reviews »
The hotel is just above Metro station and easy access to anywhere. convenience, close to Gare De L'Est. Cleanliness. staff, very helpful, polite, good understanding of English, very near to public transport. Price and location - just opposite to Gare du east station !!!!. The hotel is near the subway station and is clean. It was a cute, very central little hotel. close to stations. proximity to metro and RER and hop on hop off bus. helpfull stuff, convinient location. Location. Location / price in Paris very Good -the option for a $6 Simple breakfast. hotel was convenient for transport network. Proximity to Metro and Gare de L'Est train station. Room was clean and rate was good.If you need a hotel near Gare de l'est, its brilliant, its right across the road from it! It's clean ideally located and is perfect for a stopover. The breakfast! Excellent compared to its price.it's quiet, and you can have a good sleep. surrounding. The breakfast was good. The rooms/beds were ( for this price ) clean. The man of the staff was very plite and friendly. Location near metro and a train station, there's cheap supermarketaround. The toilette was renovated.location is great and free internet. very close to the metro station. The television programming is only French language; no CNN or Eurovision. Not so much negative, but just a caution: there are pan handlers and "working girls," although neither are as aggressive as in New York. However if you just mind your own business it is "colorful." Or if you are uptight, relocate to l'Opera of Place de la Concorde. small space. very small lift, very noisy room (if the windows are kept open). Bed not too comfortable. I didn't like the noise, because the walls are thin and you can hear everything. I was a little concerned about fire safety at the hotel, as I did not spot any alams or sprinlers in the place.Room was very small and for a 6 day visit it became a bit claustrophobic. it was under constraction, therefore it was very noisy. Lift. Cramped - Street noice ( but You are central in Paris). room at front faced main boulevard and the area was very noisy traffic and buses till 3am and people on street shouting etc so sound proofing not good also window did not lock so was not secure and there was scaffold outside window making it easy for anyone to climb up and gain access to room Decor and cleanliness of staircase to different levels was poor carpet looked grubby. you can hear what your neibours doing and they can hear you as well. Noise from adjoining rooms. Tiny bathroom facilities. Only lift was not operational which meant a walk up dimly-lit circular staircase to upper floor room every day. The receptionist working the night I stayed was unhelpful and unfriendly.I stayed for 10 minutes waiting for someone to come to the reception when checking out. The lady was serving breakfast, she saw that people were waiting for her, and obviously did not think that I might be hurried to go to the airport (which I did). the floor was leaning from one side to the other. The lift was very small. a lot of rats and mosqitoes. Hotel was not safe in UK terms, no adequate fire doors, no separate fire escape, central stair well with no segregation. Booked a family room and was given two separate rooms, joint key did not work both room doors.Location was in front of bus terminal; extremely noisy day and night. Rooms very very hot, but opening window was too noisy. Room for 3 persons was simplpy a double room with a stretcher: not enough space. The lady of the staff was very unfriendly. There were works going on: e.g. in corridor on 6th floor we had open windows closed with plastics. No emergency exit there!. The room was small esp the toilette. I booked a triple room but got asingle room and a double room, for the same price though. The hotel wasold and smelly, and it was hard to find the hotel because of the darksmall entrance. The surrounding area at night was a bit creepy, sobetter watch out.rennovations during our stay and AC didn't work at all. lightning fixtures on the wall was falling down, cracks on the ceiling and a shaky flooring for the double bed rooms. hotel is under decration; the floor of the room is lean; one day there is no water when we wake up, we have to go to the nearby Quick to wash and brush tooth.
