The hotel was very close to the Metro St Michel which is a direct line from both CDG and Orly. Also only 2 stops to Gare de Nord if travelling to and from London. Plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops. It is located in a quieter part of the Latin Quarter away from the noise and bustle of the main Boulevards. Quaint french streets. Easy access , walking and metro to all Paris attractions. Able to store baggage.

Aircon works great in rooms, can't talk for all rooms but Internet conn in level 1 was the fastest and most consistent I've had at a hotel in Europe. Would stay again. Most staff very helpful. We used Metro to travel everywhere and were able to return knowing we were only steps away from our hotel. We were within walking distance to Notre Dame and Seine. Reasonably priced for Paris. My room was very comfortable with a modern bathroom. Everything was clean and fresh. With one exception, the staff were friendly and helpful. Good value for money. Location was a major plus, close to the Seine, to Notre Dame and to the Boulevard Saint Germain for shopping. I felt very safe in the neighbourhood. The staff at the front desk were extremely attentive. When I arrived at 9pm at night in the rain without taxi fare for the cab I'd just taken from the airport, one of the men at the concierge desk immediately walked me more than halfway to an ATM machine (in the rain) to make sure I knew how to get there. Fabulous location, just steps from the Saint-Michel metro stop, 3 min walk to the Seine, 10 mins walk to Notre Dame, 15 mins walk to Jardin de Luxembourg. All manner of small shops and restaurants nearby. Also the bed was very comfortable (firm like home) although of course just a double, not a queen. The location was the best. In a touristy area however there are plenty if restaurants & bars. None of the restaurants are good & overpriced. But there are plenty of cheap take-away places. Safe area. Rooms were basic but clean & had all the essentials. -The location is very good just a minute walk to Metro and RER . And near the beutiful area Latin Quarter ful of restuarent, night life.. -Wifi is good with alternative routers for each floor to have a strong segnal. -A cleaned and new bathrooms .. It's location, easy walking access to metro.& several major atractions including Notre Dame, Seine, latin quarter with a huge variety of food ouitlets & local atmosphere with little noise.made helprd make our 5 day visit very enjoyable. Only having a short time in Paris, the location was excellent. Nearby eating establishments meant that our time seeing Paris could be maximised. The room itself was more comfortable than expected and the staff always pleasant. The location was incredible, walk to the end of the street (about a block) and Notre Dame is across the street/canal. The cleanliness of our room was the best we have ever had. The shopping was great. The second room that we requested was onto the courtyard and away from the noise and was excellent. Close to so many sights seeing places and the dinner spots were endless being in the Latin Quartier. Hub of activity. Fantastic Location. the position is great, 5 minutes walking to Notre Dame, Saint Germain et Quartier Latin. The best I did liked was the location of the hotel and the staff were very friendly. the location is perfect i would stay there again just because of it location. receptionist. Location was good. Very good local restaurants as long as you stay away from the touristy areas. - head east rather than west when leaving the hotel. The lift was very small so if you had to go down by stairs , they are very narrow and treads small. Not so much me, but my wife thought one of the female staff were rude. I honestly think her English was just basic and blunt and she may have come across rude. But she was ok. The swipe card for the door to my room rarely worked. The lovely Sophie at reception apologised profusely, and told me that the system was to be updated soon. The hallways had an unpleasant smell. Our bathroom (rm 403) was cramped by a large wooden roof beam that required ducking to get to the toilet. But maybe that's just part of the charm. Also, the stairway is fairly dark even when the motion-sensor lights cut on. I suggest more wattage in those light fixtures. Don't expect a view. Shower rather small. Otherwise everything is good. smilly aisles and bed covers need to be changed. hotels(building) at the opposite side are a few meters far from your window which make you close it to get some privacy. Only one english speaking TV channel - CNN can become a little wearing! BBC channel had a "problem". Paris is expensive, but we expected it to be. We stayed Dec 2012 and Jan 2013. The first room was hot and aircon could not be adjusted. It had builders plastic over the window. The room was on Rue Des arts and very noisy into the early hours of the morning. The plumbing was smelly. Breakfast lady could have been a little more smiley and friendly but she was very efficient so it was not a problem, just nice to see a friendly face first thing in the morning. - The credit card reader didn't work the day I was there and had to pay cash. - No heating in the room - it was coldish. Its extremely expensive for such kind of a hotel. Breakfast at 10 euros was expensive, and started later than I would have liked. My room wasn't as clean as I like, but I do have high expectations. No American coffee! Lol. Stairs unfriendly. Room was small and really old fashioned but seriously the location made up for it. Room was small but to be expected in this area of Paris!. Walls are a little thin, cough hear the neighbour cough. But this didn't disturb me. Breakfast poor value for money Too dark on stairs,hallways and reception areas. Room's too small, tiny lift, too many tourists near by. Lift was very small. could be a bit cleaner. No tea/coffee facilities in room. The lady on reception during the day was not friendly and not helpful. She was sombre, short and not obliging in any way. The night staff, and the lady on reception on Sunday, on the other hand were very friendly and helpful. The room conditions are unconfortable. size of the room and the room was a bit dirty. Very basic facilities. A bit dark and dingy. Breakfast was poor.
