The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and I would advise anybody to stay at this hotel. close to metro, central location, great heating in rooms as outside was minus 3 nice area. The view of the Eiffel tower from our room and the ideal location. Location was excellent, metro one block, supermarkets, and restuarants, laundromat 2 blocks. Great view Eiffel Tower and surrounds from our room on the 6th floor. Spacious room. Staff very friendly and helpful especially receptionists.Shuttle bus to airport worked well. Although no tea/coffee facilities offered, take an immersion element and plastic cups for use in room.all reviews »
Its great location, friendly staff and lovely room!. Location and staff are aoutstanding. The location of the hotel was superb for sightseeing in Paris. The Metro station Ecole Militaire was round the corner (150yds) and took you into the heart of Paris (Opera) and the city is now at your disposal. The view from the room window was one that my 12 year old daughter loved. The Eiffel Tower standing proud above the buildings below. Parc Champs de Mars was only a 3-4 minute walk away. The beds were very comfortable after a hard days sightseeing. It was a great location just a few minutes from the metro and 10 minutes from the Eiffel Tower. There were a couple of great cafes/restaurants nearby which we found useful for eating late i.e. after 10pm. although they were not near enough to cause a problem with noise at the hotel. Its location, very close to "École Militaire" metro station and nearby Eiffel Tower. The breakfast, although not included in the room rate, was good. I think Derby Eiffel is a correct hotel with good prices. perfect location, clean rooms, friendly staff. Very close to Metro and easy walking distance to Eiffel Tower and Rue Cler. Quiet surroundings. View of Eiffel Tower (if you stuck your head out the window.) Very pleasant staff who spoke English. Although the carpet in both rooms was grubby looking, everything else was spotlessly clean. We would probably stay there again (although would definitely check out the toilet first!). The location was great. Nice area of Paris, walking distance from all the major tourist sites. Very clean.Final room was nice. Original room was far too small, but she gave us larger room at same oriinal price. Convenience to downtown area and metro access. Provides good supply of toiletries to guest.Location and service was great. Room was reasonable size for Paris. Right beside the Metro and the Eiffel Tower. The location and friendly staff. Staff very friendly, room neat,. It is near by the city center. staff were very helpfull. Friendly staff. The room was nice, though not so big. The bathroom was clean and comfortable; a little small, but very polished. The personnel was pretty good, nice and collaborative in every aspect. Its location is very good, since it's 1 km from the Eiffel tower (the hotel is on the opposite side of the Champs de Mars), and near the metro line 8 (purple), which gets you downtown quickly enough.Location to metro terrific and with surpising view of Eiffel Tower. Staff helpful and spoke excellent english. We liked the location the best-it was close to the metro in a nice neighborhood.Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Reception staff very helpful. The breakfast was very nice, different types of cheese, meat delicacies, variety of croisants, confitures, though we had to pay extra, it worthed the money. The Hotel is situated in about 10 minutes away from the Eifle Tower so it is very good for a romantic walks around during the day and night. The receptionist was speaking Bulgarian. It was a clean and quiet room. Very close to the Eiffle Tower, about a 10 min walk. Bathroom had dual voltage. Has a lift. Hotel staff arranged for transport to airport. Overall a good hotel, I would stay here again.Very close to the Metro, very efficient staff and excellent command oflanguages. I heard the receptionist speaking as fluently to Spanishcolleagues as to me in English. proximity to major attractions. The day staff were very helpful in finding your way around the city. Near a metro station. location. the location of the hotel. location and price. maids cleaned room even when u had a do not disturb sign up. Ok the room was a little bit small, but the cases and belongings did not get in the way and the clothes fitted well into the wardrobe. The lift was a little bit cramped with 2 cases and 2 people in it, but again hey, there's stairs to be used during the rest of the stay. As a base for sight seeing I really can't complain about anything. The carpet in the bedroom could have done with a clean. Our room was at the back and the view out of the window was over a concrete courtyard. It was not really a problem for us as we were not in there very much, but if you want a view you need to be at the front. The bathroom was small; the smell of smoking in my room. We had booked for 2 nights and on the first night our room was unbearably hot due to problems with air con. however we were offered another room without question. Second room was comfortable except you needed to be a contortionist to sit on the toilet which could only be used "side saddle" due to ridiculous placement of bowl in the bathroom.Whilst I'm aware that hotel rooms in Europe are very small, this one was very tiny. Only room for one suitcase. Our other one had to be left standing wedged between the bed and the wall. The bed was very close to the window which meant it could not be opened fully, which was a shame as we had a great view of the Eiffel Tower. However, if you have small bags I'm sure it would not be such a problem. The rug in the room could definitely use either cleaning or replacement.the view of our room. aircon was faulty , blew hot and cold air into room. room next to lift. Room and elevator quiet small; but, expected in europe. I had to change three rooms before I got a room with centralized heating!. very small elevator, a lot of pay-tv channels but very small choice of free TV channels. The Shower had a door that only covered half of the shower causing water to get all over the bathroom.I did feel that the cost was relatively high for each night. small rooms, no wake up service. The lift was fairly dodgy.. worked only when it wanted to and the night staff were not the friendliest. the elevator is very old as the hotel. v expensive breakfast, room in need of renovation (toilet seat was dismantled and left in shower upon arrival, heating temperamental and lift didn't work).
