Excellent location, especially for those who plans to take or give back a rented car at Gare de Lyon train-station. Very close to the metro station. Clean and well decorated, but I expected much more from the rooms based on the Booking com pictures of the hotel. Some staff was friendly and helpful. Some – not. We heard people in the corridor but not in rooms fortunately. Our windows were to the street, it was rather calm at night to sleep. We lived on the first floor and heard metro, but the no.
all reviews » We stayed in 3 different room due to our back and forth from Paris to other places. Each room was very clean, and comfortable. Front desk very helpful and friendly- even gave my daughter a daily french lesson. Kitchen staff very kind and Gupty speaks 6 languages. Not even 1/2 block away is the metro- and a gorgeous park 2 blocks away- perfect for runners and strollers. Don't miss the boulangerie across the street. The staff were excellent, one guy in particular (unfortunately who's name escapes me) was really helpful and told us some great places to go that suited us perfectly. The metro station is a 30 second walk away and there is also a fantastic park less than 5 minutes away. Last but not least the Boulangerie/Patiserie directly across the road is excellent!. Excellent location in the heart of undoubtedly the most beautiful and interesting cities on earth. Metro station immediately outside the hotel provides links to all attractions, shops, restaurants etc. A Clean, well decorated hotel, manned by friendly staff with excellent English. Any of these issues though are soon forgotten about once you're in the very comfy bed. Small room, but suitable for tourists and at a fair price. No tea and coffee making facilities in the room! I know they offered coffee at reception but this is such a simple thing to make it a more 'home from home' experience. Room 41 on top floor had a tricky shower for those over 6ft tall!. No breakfast included. Price is little costly compared to the facilities. May be its coming from the fact that Paris is in general costly. Rooms not quite as well sound insulated as might be the case but not too much of a problem. Small continental breakfast seemed a poor value at 11 euros. Room a bit small particularly with limited wardrobe storage space. Towels not changed in 5 days (apparently on 'eco-friendly' grounds). Wi-Fi can be erratic. Rumble of Metro trains in distance (not overly intrusive). Tiny lift, wasn't always working and we were on top floor. Shower did not work. They tried to fix but same the next day. Very liite warm water came out, absolutely impossible for a woman for hairwash. Location. I believe there could be better locations for the price. Very small room, old furniture,poor breakfast. The Elevatore was very very small and out of Standard. The Tawel at Hotel are dark color but must be white. no Refrigerator in Room. The smell of damp in Room. The staff (rude & deceitful) The room size.
