friendly service. rate and location. staff very helpful particularly tourist information about Paris. Breakfast was very good - great selection. However we did have to pay for breakfast although 10 euros was quite reasonable for this city. Location was great - right next to major train station and bus stops - very central to main sights of Paris. Friendly, Smiling, Helpful staff (right from Reception to Room Service to lady serving the Buffet breakfast). Location is v. good too, but then the icing to everything was the Staff. Location - Close to station, Reasonable access to Bistro's etc.. Those on Rue de Clichy are better than that on Rue de Amstradam. Breakfast at the cafe (Midore ?) near the hotel is excellent. The location was great, right by the Gare St Lazare and close to the shopping district by Printemps. Hotel staff was helpful and nice.Most enjoyable. Also some noise from the street even when windows to the inner yard.The area immediately around the hotel is mildly seedy due to its close proximity to the train station. There was only one chair in the room. Should be at least 2 for 2 persons. A big air fan could have been removed during the winter period in order to give more space in the room. Extra bed (for 3rd person) could have been removed when we were only 2 persons.rooms could be bigger. smoking room...Rooms are too small. The air conditioner was not working so it could get quite hot in the summer and we got a room at the front of the hotel which was a busy road so could not leave the windows open. Apart from that the hotel was good value for money.The cleaning guy/lady mistaken our re-usable food container (and expensive one too) as a normal/throw after use food container. We left the foot container near the sink for us to wash and use again before we went out sightseeing, however when we came back, it was gone. The hotel has apparently throw it away. I have asked about everyday, but no concrete answers were given. rooms are to toooooooooo tooo small as i reserved a triple room and it turned out to be a double room with an extra bed which was unaccepted by all means regarding the price. The wall-to-wall carped should be removed and the bed were not reallycomfortable. room a bit small and noisy.the room was not quiet, the lifts were noisy and due to thin walls, every notice from the neighbours were heard, one night, we even had to call reception to stop disturbing noices from the closest room. Stairs without light. I chose a non smoking room, but was given one which smelled heavy smoke,next morning I was given a better one. It was too expensive ffor what you get.Can be quite creepy at night, with a few shady characters around the area of the hotel as it is slightly further up from the main action of the night. Also, hotel did not allow late check out. room is too too small for 2 person. No light in corridor.
