All staff were friendly and professional. The wonderful smell of polish when we arrived was an indication of the level of cleanliness in the hotel. The room, which they upgraded at no cost, was quite large as was the bathroom. International newspapers to read along with your breakfast (not included but reasonable at 15 euros) and your morning was off to a great start. I'd definitely stay here again. There's a terrific restaurant next door as well called Cafe de l'esplanade.
