  After travelling around France and Italy for 3 weeks, it was a relief to find a top quality hotel at a very resonable price, more on par with the standards I have experienced aroung the world. Great sized rooms, beautiful decore and very friendly staff, not too mention a great location.   Loved the stuff, just SO friendly (excpect when i showed up at 3 a.m. and the door was locked and I had to wake up the owner:P). The location is really good considering it's Nice (10 minutes walk from the centre), really close to tramway and the railway.   The kids loved the hotel because of the playstation downstairs and the swimming pool on the roof of the hotel. We loved the friendly staff in the restaurant and the great food - we had breakfasts and dinners there. They made us feel welcome all the way, they even gave the kids presents when we arrived! Although the prom was a 10 min walk we were so pleased we stayed in the Novotel as we were able to see all areas of Nice with only a short walk.   The staffs at the reception were really helpful. they know a lot about Nice, where to eat, what to do & even provided us with map and train timetable. The train station to monte carlo on 4 blocks fr the hotel! The room suits our need. We travelled with a baby so it was good to have a kitchenette. Carrefour just across the street, easy to get any essentials there. - We liked the well equipped kitchen. There were cleaning materials including dishwasher tablets. The parking was very secure with lift access to the hotel. The only thing was that the decor, although modern, was a bit dark and the furnishings did not make the room inviting. There is a large shopping complex containing a Carrefours supermarket, directly opposite. It is only a 300 metre walk to the tram stop which is handy.

  The décor and facilities were worthy of a 4* hotel, with air con; tea and coffee making facilities; hair dryer. The location was perfect - 10 minute stroll to the port; 15 minute stroll to the beach and the old town just round the corner. But the real gem of Le Geneve was Corrine, the manageress. What a star, she went the extra 9 yards to make sure we had - The position is super, close to Place Garibaldi, old town and bus lines towards the places to visit on the east side of Nice (e.g. Eze, Monaco, Menton etc.). The room was nicely decorated (the bathroom as well) and with good facilities, like mini-fridge with drinks, coffee / tea making facilities, AC (though quite loud), bathroom accessories etc. The staff was friendly as well.
