Great location, friendly staff who were very helpful. Room with kitchenette was clean and well equipped, especially the filter coffee machine in the room. Our car was accommodated by staff who reserved a parking bay for us for the whole stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to explore La Rochelle. A quiet classy retreat in a busy fishing port. We had a wonder rooftop apartment with panoramic view, it was spacious, clean and beautifully furnished .The well equipped kitchen area was a bonus and allowed us to sample some of the local produce. The hotel had thought of everything, thank you.

Great to stay in such a well located comfortable hotel without the huge price tag - we came last year and loved it and no doubt we'll be back again. Could have done with a touch of new paint in the apartment. Not 5*. No air-conditioning. No safe in the room. No hair-dryer. No kettle or coffee machine. No spoons. We boiled water in a pan & stirred coffee with a fork. Some apartments need a little refreshing. very noisy on Saturday night - neighbouring property up till 2am outside and could hear a commotion in the street. The only hotel out of 25 during our cycling holiday in France that charged for storage of our bikes overnight. No aircondition. Constant cooing from pigeons. Thin walls noise travels easy. The fact that the new room had no cooking facilities as expected. The room we moved to had massive microwave transmitters on the roof immediately above the room which I didn't like. Room was tired looking . Paint flaking off the ceiling . Windows and curtains were shabby looking . Shame because the rest of the hotel looked very nice . Found the staff rather unfriendly and uncooperative. Not a 5 star hotel,it had no open restaurant, no hairdryer and no leisure facilities. Very basic room we were given with paint flaking off the ceiling ... At best our accommodation was 3 star.
