Central location Rooms were comfortable Lift, as stairs very narrow, as it was a very old, historic property. good position near the old harbour. Small but friendly. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Location in the middle of the city and close to many galleries and artshops. Location was perfect, and the hotel was clean for our two night visit. Comfy bed, helpful staff, location, room well appointed.

The room was ready for a repaint and it wasn't quite as chic as it looked on line. the free car park was quite a walk away. The rooms was a little bit too small. No parking. The staff did not speak English well and results were mixed in their attitude towards us, as customers. Spiral staircase -. A little noisy in the early hours of the morning. Room could have been a bit bigger and bath was a bit high. The Staircase to the bedrooms is a death trap. If we had had the Grandchildren with us there is no way we would have stayed in this Hotel. We appreciate that being an old building there is not much that can be done - however, we are surprised that a Fire Certificate has been granted. The man - that assumed to be the owner - could perhaps have a smile or two. Parking was some distance from hotel. Parking is inconvenient. One rude member of staff, parking. Certainly not 3 star. Slightly shabby and cramped room with cramped ensuite and separate toilet. No parking. In urgent need of redecoration and soft furninshing. (Broken wicker chair in our room and torn valance and cushion covers). Misled over ca parking , there is no facility at the hotel. The nearest car park is probably a mile away and taking cases from the car, in the rain, was not my idea of fun. staff could also benefit from lessons in how to smile. Staff has no management present and work on their own unsupervised. Our room had broken light fittings and nobody was responsible to get them repaired. whole area has been downgraded and over commercialized.over past years. small room plug in wash basin not working light in toilet went out every 5secs. no horizontal surfaces.
