Lakeside location is delightful. The restaurant (Outdoors in the fine weather) is excellent, but the menu for half board package is bottom of the range and without choice was disappointing. Excellent breakfast. Memorable because it was so different.Decorated to the 'max' - nic-nacs everywhere. Thought we were in a French boudoir. Free car parking & a pleasant walk along the waterfront to Evian Les Bains.
all reviews » An hotel that was great in the 1920s and, rightly, keeps to this theme. I live nearby and use it on occasion. Food is excellent. But it does help to be fluent in French. The location: on the lakeside and an easy walk into the town. Quirky French decor. Excellent food at a reasonable price for the area. A garage was available. Great location on the water. Only a short walk to cafes and shops.The rooms were decorated with a french feel which was great but a lot of things everywhere. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely and warm old style luxury made for a fairy tale visit. Snow and ice outside was very beautiful. Friendly staff (and friendly pets too!), correct restaurant, nice location. Very clean rooms, tons of decoration. 4 th visit here for dinner and 1st overnight stop .. always excellent ..No complaints. Balcony with a view of lake, nice room/hotel decoration,. - very good value for money. Comfortable room and good view. Colorful design. No lift, so a top (third) floor room is 59 steps up from the ground floor foyer, which is a struggle. Staff were however always helpful taking luggage. The hotel itself is a bit out of town - at least a kilometre to the centre. For 5 nights our room & bed was a little on the small size. Meals too pricey so we chose to eat elsewhere. Not so keen on the number of dogs staying at the hotel. No escalator Rather dodgy wifi. On the third floor without a lift, and the corridors obstructed by numerous artefacts. Dogs roaming the dining room. A maid flicking cobwebs with a feather duster as we ate breakfast. Room was a bit small and cluttered but we enjoyed it's uniqueness. Leaving!. A bit too small room. We just got shampoo/gel for the first day, it was never refilled... poor weather Ha ha .. Small room space for luggages, Internet worked slowly and e-mail did not work at all. - the extremely intense perfume smell everywhere. Parking is rather difficult if the hotel and restaurant are busy. - Parking facilities (limited parking posibilites nearby, alternative far from the hotel) - lots of things used for decoration, which makes difficult to move even in the room. - no lift, especially for the third floor - don't be fooled. If you pay for lake-view, it's only side-view. - if you like the animal life, the bathroom was full with spider and cobwebs.
