The village was lovely and the layout of the hotel was interesting and unique (e.g., the "rooftop" pool). But the best part was the staff. When we learned upon arrival that dinner wasn't going to be served at the hotel that night, we thought we'd have to drive in to Saintes in order to get a meal, which we didn't really want to do because we'd bee

The tiny village is charming, and the staff are like family!
Flo is a wonderful cook.
Her husband is the architect who restored the building and what he's done is impressive. The pool area is gorgeous and overlooks the church.
Their son Charles runs reception and couldn't be sweeter.
