This was a real gem of a surprise - we thought because of the price it wouldn't be as nice as the pictures but it exceeded our expectations! We got the four poster apartment and the bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was like a mini spa with a standing bath tub and open shower perfect for a good nights sleep and night of relaxation. The breakfast was cute and good quality with homemade jam and fresh coffee/juice but you may be hungry again after a couple of hours! Also the host was so love.
all reviews » Everything! Yuka was a most gracious and thoughtful hostess. Her breakfasts including home made jams are a must. Everything is meticulously maintained and clean.The room is gorgeous with dark wood floors and furniture, including a large 4 poster bed, beautiful Japanese screen and lovely decorative pieces in the room. The room was large, the bed was comfortable, the shower was fantastic and there was even a lovely bath (claw feet of course). To top it off it was a very short walk to the Centre o. "Empire" is a great appartment, spacious, nicely equipped, with a comfy bed on the second floor and a superb bathroom. Also the breakfast was delicate with homemade jam and fresh bread, croissant, coffee and juice. The appartment is adjacent to the ancient center of Dijon and fortunately I've found a parking place near to the appartment. I felt glad all over. Everything! Fabulous Roman apartment with all the beautiful soft furnishings and antique furniture. Had a beautiful feel to it, in a gorgeous cobblestone street of inner city Dijon full of boutiques, antiques and cafés. Just loved it. Kettle too, rare but handy when u r travelling and too tired to go out for coffee late. There were so many things to like: The beautiful furnishings, the very comfortable four poster bed, the pretty little courtyard, the elegantly served and delicious breakfast, and our lovely hostess, who was friendly and helpful, yet did not intrude on our privacy. The bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfasts were generous. We were well looked after and I couldn't fault anything. Yuma the hostess was a delight. She was helpful, hospitable, genuinely caring. The room was furnished with restored period furniture which took us back into a wonderful past. Location was excellent and very central and peaceful. The wonderful welcome; the room itself that shows the care & workmanship taken with bringing into life a little bit of old France. We recommend the "petit dejeneur" that reveals some of the culinary skills of our hostess. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. Overall, a nice experience. There was a workman out side drilling the courtyard but we were out all day anyway so it didn't really bother us. Nothing. Brilliant place!. Honestly we loved everything, including beautiful breakfast. Wonderful host and she thought of everything!. nb Perhaps a few more shelves would be good in the Empire bathroom. Parking was slightly tricky - had to feed the meter in the daytime, but it wasn't too expensive and wasn't such a problem that it would put us off staying at Le Petit Tertre again. Nothing. N/a. Nothing. The fan in the bedroom wasn't very affective so it was quite hot while sleeping. Some confusion with reservation but was handled well by the owner. Confusion was that we rented a room and not a apartment and resulted with them moving us to the second location. There was nothing we didn't like. Nothing. Nothing... Nothing. Need a wardrobe, not a silly closet. Also breakfast wasn't worth the money.
