all reviews » This hotel is perfectly located if you are arriving in Dijon by bus or train - it is visible from the railway station so no need for taxis. It has the feel of an old style grand hotel, and the room we had was spacious, with a very comfortable bed and windows we could climb out of easily to sit in the secluded courtyard with a glass of wine every evening. Historic Dijon centre is an easy walk away. The staff were excellent, very helpful (3 of 4 front desk receptionistsat least). One of the largest bathrooms I've seen in a 3 star inEurope. Very convenient to the train station and a easy walk toshopping and sights.Location, easy to find. Friendly staff. Parking available and convenientbut at extra cost. Reception staff werevery helpful. Very old fashioned decor in rooms. The car-parking is a bit of a pain in that you have to try and leave your car somewhere where the parking is very limited, go into the hotel reception to collect a card, go back to the car and then access the car-park whose entrance is about 100-150 yards from reception. The aircon wasn't working and the rooms are very stuffy - had to open the window, majing it much more noisy.The wifi is not free. They gave us a room at the first floor, it was very hot. We had to ask for a ventilator, but it made no difference.Eveything was good. Parking situation needs more explanation on their web site, so visitors know the situation at check-in.No air conditions (but there is steam type heater). Although they tried very hard to make parking facilities easy it was difficult to get out of car park. The access to the garage was cumbersome, we had to go and ask for the access card at reception first and then return the card each time we returned to the hotel. The room was very, very small.Hotel needs a makr over. new carpet etc. TV programs poor. 1. The (retired) bed needs to be renewed. 2. The door between toilet/bathroom and room does not have a lock. Above that, the unlocked door could not be closed but swings open, whatever you try toprevent this. We did not receive a warm reception from the woman at the desk upon check in. We were put in a tiny room that was clearly a room used generally for a single person - not a couple.We requested a baby cot in the intial booking. I was emailed and told tophone a few days prior to arrival to confirm the cot. I did this and wastold there would be a cot available. When we arrived the receptionistdenied all knowledge and told me there were no cots available. It wasnot until I threatened to go to another hotel that she, magically, founda baby cot for us. There is a terrible smell in the room.According to the Hotel Le Jura receptionist, I had a superior categoryroom, but the room decor was very old and dark.The floor carpet was fullof stains. Hotel Le Jura shut off the heating during the night and itbecame very cold (december!!!). The water pressure in the shower was toolow and with water leakage. Nowadays it's not easy to understand howthere is no free wi-fi internet connection. Not clean enough, gave me allergies all over my body. Problems with noise as well, you could listen everything that was happening outside your room and inside the rooms on both sides, below and next floor. Awful. The people of the reception during the dayshift were really not polite with my girlfriend, which made me furious. By all these reasons I left the hotel earlier than I expected.

All rooms are non-smoking and equipped with shower or bath/WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar and cable TV. Those on our inner flower garden are naturally quiet and fresh. Those on the Avenue Foch are soundproofed and air conditioned.

"Le Jura" is located in the town centre between the TGV railway station (150 m) and the Tourist Office (100m). The Gothic Cathedral "Saint Bénigne" (400m), the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy with its famous museum (800m), the Opéra House, as well as the Rue de la Liberté with its shopping facilities and the botanical garden: "Jardin de l'Arquebuse" or the "Square Darcy" are just a few minutes away.
