We stayed only two nights as a quick weekend holiday away from home in the south of France. We were not disappointed. The hotel ,although in the centre of the town,is tucked away down a side alley which made it very convenient for just about all your needs,but also made it very quiet. Restaurants,shops,pharmacy, cafes,chateau,post office(opposite)beach and harbour were all within easy walking distance. Small parking spaces for a few cars outside the hotel are available if your lucky,but there i.
all reviews » The hotel is nothing spectacular, but is clean, comfortable and modern. The best thing about it is the location, which is right in the middle of town- literally couldn't be better. Hôtel Princes de Catalogne is a perfectly pleasant hotel, and given the fabulous location, I think it is very reasonable for the price. The location was perfect in the centre of the village and in walking distance to everything you need. The staff where fantastic and happy to allow us to leave our car there after we checked out until we were ready to leave later in the afternoon. The room was clean and extremely quiet breakfast was good. The very friendly efficient staff, the room was very clean and a good size room. The location was excellent, a little difficult to find as it is not well sign posted but we eventually found it. We have been travelling throughout Europe for 5 weeks now and this was the best Hotel we have stayed at so far. Our room was well located over the front of the hotel: the breakfasts were OK French style in a rather minimalist dining room! All the facilities were as expected and up to scratch and the reception was helpful and efficient. Car parking OK for maybe six cars but tight. Received in a very friendly, efficient manner. We opted for a larger room which was lovely, clean and had a minibar. We had the chance to have parking at the hotel - one of the few spaces which is very helpful in the center of the town. I didn't like leaving my car a distance from the hotel but it wouldn't stop me booking again. Did not like breakfast, it is better to eat in cafe outside. Nothing. Not much. the hotel says that there is parking however when you arrive there, you realize that there are only six parking places and in the peak season of course occupied. We had to park in a hill nearby, and climbing up to the hill was not the nicest experience in 35C:) Also difficult to find and enter the small street where the hotel is. A little hard to find Needs more prominent signage. If I was to be picky - the tiny, tiny separate WC room. Stand up too quickly and knock yourself out on the door. And I'm not big!. Our room was over a garage and it was cold in Collioure, our floor never warmed up. Parking could be better. Door hinges need oiling as squeaks are very noisy including adjoining rooms. I stayed only two nights. Much more to be discovered in Colliore. Not much room for parking for cars. (We had a MC, which was much easier). no parking and very difficult to find one in the nearby. Just two peanuts: First one is a parking not convenient Other is the room view too close to the neighbor. The room was uncommonly dark: the window looked into the backyard where the sun never shone, and the two small bedlamps are hardly enough to illuminate a fairly spacy room. The room was a double; however, there was only one chair. The rooms need renovation, paint is flaking off cupboards, and the bathroom is minute. There is limited onsite parking, on a first come first served basis, so no guarantee of a spot. There is no international tv, or any sport channels. For wif-fi you have to keep re-entering password and use name, each time you are away from the computer for even a few minutes. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Identification to locate hotel, we could not find it. Car parking was atrocious. Inadequately staffed Rooms overpriced Badly organised car parking.
