The hotel for us was set in the ideal location, 10 minutes walk to Chamonix town centre with 2 but stops and a train stop outside the hotel. The hotel is lovely, the meals are fabulous and the staff are what really make this hotel great. Friendly and helpful all the time. Will definately be coming back here. No idea why it is down as a 2 star hotel. Should be higher than this. The room isnt massive but if you are someone who does not stay in your room then this will not bother you. The vie.
all reviews » Friendly and relaxed place, with close proximity to Chamonix town centre (10min walk) and good links to the slopes. There is bus stop just outside of the hotel, which can take you directly to either Le Tour or Les Houches skiing area. The staff is cool and relaxed, food is amazing and great value for money if you book half board. Excellent 3 course dinners as a part of half board. Great value for money overall, in a very expensive Chamonix area. Nice and cosy restaurant and bar area. We all loved the hotel. The staff was so courteous and attentive to our needs. The rooms are spacious & nicely decorated. The breakfast was delicious. We are recommending it to all of our friends! The views are beautiful from every room. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful!. The food was amazing and we didn't realise we had half board included which was breakfast and dinner. The dinner was exactly what we needed to eat, after being in Paris and finding it hard to find a wholesome dinner we were pleased with the 3 course dinner that they laid out for us. Owners very helpful. Associated ski shop picks up and delivers equipment. Nothing I can say here. Bathrooms are very small. Not sure if that is the case for all rooms, but we had triple room and the size of the bathroom was like a toilet cabin on a plane. That was the only down-side to the hotel. If you can leave with that for a short period of time, everything else is great and good value for money. The bathrooms could have had a heater in there, but that was minor, the rooms weren't overheated which was nice for a change. I can't fault this hotel nor it's staff. I would have liked to be a little bit closer to the town but this is no way impacted on our stay. Single beds a bit hard ans narrow but after sking and vin chaud slept well. Located next to a trafficked road, however, the noise isn't as bad in the night. The walls of the rooms are quite thin, you hear noise from the corridor and the neighboring rooms. Maybe too functional for all tastes. Having to leave. Nothing. We loved it!. Quite expensive for what it is. Small room and no tv in the room. significantly overpriced for the small poorly equipped room. Very noisy.
