Sebastien was the ultimate host. He was there to greet us when we arrived and offered us a glass if cognac while he told us everything we needed to know about Bordeaux. He speaks excellent English and the B and B is his home so you really feel as though he is inviting you to stay at his house! The wine tasting and tapas in the cellar is a must!

The only negative thing was the thin walls. Didn't bother us too much but light sleepers might find the comings and goings of other guests, as well as the siren noise from outside might keep them awake. Wouldn't impact on us staying there again though by any means!

Perfect location in old town, near monuments, shops and restaurants, beautiful interior design, silence and confort, special wine cellar for clients, good breakfast with fresh juice, fresh fruits, home made jam and hot croissant.

The location was in a very hip part of Bordeaux, and easy walking distance to all points of interest. The hotel and rooms have tons of character and charm. The owner, Sebastian, was extremely personable and went out of his way to contact me in advance to ensure someone would be there when I arrived, explain his amazing wine selection that is available for tasting and purchase, and to ensure I had everything I needed. The rooms do not have any particular 'view' since the hotel is on a narrow alley, but they are updated with modern comforts such as noise-proof windows, comfortable bathrooms, etc, all while retaining charm. Loved it...

Littles things like tea cups left dirty. English tea with milk is a must for Enlish guests. All minor but also important.

Great little boutique hotel Excellent location walk able to everything Parking in nearby undercover car park costs 19 euro per day sebastien runs an excellent wine tasting and local food tasting session in the cool cellar in the building basement for 25 euro which was a highlight of our Bordeaux experience.

The location is excellent within Bordeaux, the rooms were very comfortable, clean and tidy. A lot of thought has gone into the refurbishment of the house. The cellar is something else.

Our room was downstairs and adjacent to where guest were having breakfast. No-one there to meet us although we were asked what time we would be arriving, so had to let ourselves in and find our room. Not really a problem but would have been nice to have been met by someone. Couldn't find the towels as they were shut away in a drawer in the bedroom!

my daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights. The whole place was very clean and the staff very friendly and made you feel as part of the family. LOCATION was also very good within walking distance to centre of Bordeaux and lots of great shops and resturants. I would stay here again no doubt.

I found the location of the shower head in the bath a bit hard to work with but managed.

I honestly cannot fault this hotel. The owner was lovely and really helpful. The hotel itself is an immaculate boutique style hotel in the heart of the city. We stayed in a room with a small annex for the children which was perfect (we have 3 young children, one requiring a cot). The city centre is a short walk away. Really good value. I'd definitely recommend it.

Sebastian was the most enthusiastic and entertaining owner in our travels in France.On arrival our delightful room was ready and we were offered an armagnac or hot and cold beverage.A Meal was not available on the day we arrived but we partook in a wine tasting and tapas evening. Great little cellar and a passionate host regaling us with the history of his wines.We complete tasting notes lots of fun as our older children(adults) joined us. We didn't need dinner as the degustation tapas were ample.As the other two with us did not have any accommodation Sebastian went out of his way to find another suitable place for them.We loved our stay and would stay again if in France. Fun times Breakfast ample ,fresh and tasty in French style,homemade yoghurt too!

Well located "Hotel" with beautiful well appointed rooms, and the owners/staff were exceptionally friendly.

We received a really warm welcome, were invited to help ourselves to tea, coffee and cognac and the owner Sebastian was so helpful, inviting us to use the kitchen, giving us lots of helpful information and recommendations on restaurants etc. All in all, it was a unique and truly special place to stay.

This charming family run boutique hotel is ideally situated. The renovated rooms are tastefully designed, with, unusually, plenty of power points. The owner makes you most welcome and is very informative about the city.

The owners, Aude & Sebastien are a lovely couple - nothing is too much trouble. We arrived early and although our room was not ready we were able to leave our luggage. Aude greeted us with coffee and lots of useful information plus a map of Bordeaux. Our room was spacious & comfortable with an en-suite shower room. Breakfast was substantial (ham, cheese, fruit, yogurt, cereal, bread & croissants). Ideally situated on a bus route from the station (no. 16 bus) and just on the edge of town this is a great base from which to explore Bordeaux. The information emailed from Sebastien & Aude before we arrived was a great help - something you don't get from bigger hotels. We would definitely recommend Au Coeur de Bordeaux - thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

As our room was on the ground floor there was quite a bit of noise, mainly footsteps, from the room above. However, this did not go on onto the night so did not cause any problem.

Beautifully restored rooms in old town house with very high quality breakfast (freshly squeezed orange juice, home-made jams etc.). Great location just behind the Cathedral and near the Musee des Beaux Arts.

Aude, our hostess was extremely helpful and accommodating. She gave us excellent recommendations for good places to eat and what was worth while seeing. And she was willing to accommodate our dietary needs by changing our breakfasts. The B&B is very centrally located and was in the perfect spot for us to explore Bordeaux by foot. It is also very easy to get there by Bus 1 from the airport. I would definitely recommend this place.

Mme Cazenove and her staff were delightful, very welcoming and attentive whilst respecting our privacy. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The location in the centre of Bordeaux, within walking distance or a short tram ride from all the best places and restaurants, is simply superb. I recommend Au Coeur de Bordeaux most highly.
