Weh nyou have car it is the best option where to sleep in Avignon, when you want to save some money. its great if you arrive/leave by TGV and go to avignon mainly for lavenders. but if you plan to spend time in Avignon, try to find a place in the old town. this is like a typical USA motel. We booked non-smoking room but there was somebody smoking in the room. Lack of maintanance, the sink in the wash room was clogged and no body fix it.
