Pretty nice location. Tne best opportunities for cross-country skiing all over the year. Intermediate ski slopes. Pretty clear outside. Our cottage was realy huge with a lot of space and full - equiped, even with sauna, that wasn't announced on booking details. Nice comfortable hotel with excellent location to the train station and an easy enjoyable walk to the city center and Visitors Center where there is a excellent small museum about the history of the area. Just on the edge of Joensuu, 10-minute ride on bus 17, there is a well preserved WW2 "Bunker Museum" that is well worth the side trip.
