Our request for higher floors was fulfilled and we got upgraded to a room with sauna. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good as well. We will stay there again if we have a chance to visit Kuopio again. -

Nice comfortable hotel with excellent location to the train station and an easy enjoyable walk to the city center and Visitors Center where there is a excellent small museum about the history of the area. Just on the edge of Joensuu, 10-minute ride on bus 17, there is a well preserved WW2 "Bunker Museum" that is well worth the side trip.

The meals were just great, they have really good cooks! The sauna and pools are really good and clean.
The whole personal is nice, and always ready to serve, the most of them speak perfect English. The hotel is located in front a beautiful lake, right in the middle of the Anttola's forests. -

Breakfasts were very tasty, but a bit boring, as there was the same food everyday. Location is very good, especially during summer I guess (we were there during Easter weekend). There is very nice shop with Kartano's own products. Staff is very friendly and helpful. It is a good choice if you are travelling with a dog. -
