The Value for money was excellent at Novotel Suva. Although it was a little out of the way, it was very easy to catch taxis which did not cost to much about $13FJD was the most we paid to get to the city centre and to centrepoint. The staff offered a free cot and also offered to set it up. Which was done quickly. Our stay was very enjoyable., and would definetly stay again there. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The rooms were such a delight to stay in, we also stayed in Novotel Nad.
all reviews » One of the nicest Novotel's I've stayed in. the room was great and up to international standards, very comfortable. The pool was very nice, even though we didn't use it, was nice to sit beside it and look out onto the water and islands surrounding. Bar had a variety of cocktails and snack food always available. We went for an engagement party across in the function centre which was also fantastic and we had a great time. Staff were extra helpful. We had left behind some items and when we called a real nice gentle named "Vesa" was extremelyhelpful in trying to locate the items. He called us back with the good news that the items were in fact left behind and would make arrangements to return it. We are coming back in August and will definitely pay him a visit. Well done Vesa. You deserve a star. Everything, wifi is free and available in lounge/bar area which is not a problem. Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make stay enjoyable, food was good and available all day.Great location $10 dollars if you want to get taxi into town but again reception will arrange for you. I really liked the relaxed atmosphere of the hotel. The staff were wonderful, from the reception workers to the cleaning staff, everyone was warm and welcoming. Food was pretty good at the restaurant. All staff very friendly and helpful, lovely views of the bay and boats, watching the outrigger canoes practise. The outlook was beautiful to the islands/water. Cocktails were reasonably priced. Breakfast was good. It was near to da suva city.and easy to locate...friendly staff and rooms are very comfortable. Cleanliness and facilities. food was good and bar area was also good. the view by the pool. It was average. The food was okay, but after 10 days the menu got a bit boring. When we rang reception at times it took a little while for them to repsond for our request which got a it frusterating as we where travelling with a 21 month old so what we needed was urgent. They do need a few upgrades around the kitchen area and the defiently need to have someone come clear the water near the resturant as it was littered with rubbish. Towels were an issue and I believe this is due to outsourcing. It was hard to get one for the pool. I also thought it would be a very good idea to get umbrellas for the pool chairs on the upper deck. It is simply too hot to sit out there and enjoy relaxing by the pool without them. Occasional inconsistencies in quality of food at the restaurant but this didn't spoil the overall enjoyment of my stay. Staff being on 'island time'. Everything was perfect. Sometimes replenishing of toilet paper, few times had to ask. the breakfast wasnt included in our package of 6 nights. no place to wash clothes. No wifi in rooms. Nothing. Very slow room service: rooms were never ready before 14 every day, including arrival day, forcing us to wait 40 minutes to finally enter. had a lot of insects in my room and had to ask for a different room late at night, which I was annoyed about. new room was insect free. no late check outs. The ants coming from behind the computer desk. The lack of things to do in the hotel. The boring hospital type corridors and the restaurant prices. When you go to a hotel you expect it to be a pleasure and that you get a feeling of luxury. This place was worse than the house we rent in Denarau. And our pool is bigger!. I hate the fact that they put a floating restaurant (or something like that) just behind the hotel, blocking part of the great view of the bay. That's was really a bad idea. I will never stay in this hotel again. The fact that we arrived after 5pm to be told out room was not ready and they gave us a room that the sheets were not changed from the previous people, yuk and I didn;t know untill the next morning when I threw back the covers, We had booked for 7 nights and that was unacceptable.
