I had an absolutely brilliant time from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. They went out of their way to make me feel very welcome. The number of staff who actually remembered mine and my sons name and greeted us personally every day was incredible. The beds and pillows are amazing. The ladies who cleaned the rooms each day were marvelous!!!! The swimming pools are amazing.... I had an incredible time. I was a bit put off by some of the reviews but I was so glad that I booked in the end.
all reviews » The staff were absolutely wonderful, so welcoming and friendly. We loved the pools and the fact we could also utilize the pool, bars and restaurants at The Sheraton. Where ever we went the staff always called out Bula to our little girl and were always so happy to see us. The free daily activities were excellent and we enjoyed the Farm Tour. The friendly staff, always ready to do whatever we asked of them. The lap pool was a great place to relax. There was a great variety of dining options. Our room was clean and comfortable. I really loved the swimming-pools and the so welcoming Fijian staff . As a mother of two children ,I also appreciated the very nice playground within the hotel . Ground floor accommodation and outdoor living great, pool facilities awesome even adult lap pool away from the kids pool. Extremely comfortable and large rooms. Conference facilities were excellent. Taxis and bus services were available. Guests were free to mingle. The atmosphere was just great. Poolside is really lovely. Some staff are extremely helpful. Others not as much. Breakfast buffet is very nice. The pools were great, and it was nice how easy it was to order drinks and food while hanging around the pools. Our room was beachfront but very peaceful, it was a great spot. Also the breakfast was very good. Staff were definitely the highlight of the Westin. Very friendly and helpful. Clean comfortable, very pleasant staff. Layout, pool, foyer, cleaning staff. Restaurants are super expensive! $40AUD for 4 tortellini and 3 over cooked prawns gave almost made me cry!. There was nothing to not like. I am aware that I've been to a luxury resort but it is a shame there are no available washing machines for the hotel customers ... very useful when you have children ... The garden view room bathrooms are old and a bit moldy. Amenities were not refreshed and neither was the coffee bar. The steak at The Steakhouse restaurant was mediocre. The room/villa in general was definitely a bit run-down...seemed like a much lower standard compared to the rest of the resort. Nothing to dislike If anyone is not content in the wonderful environment they are hard to please. Leaving :-( a guest laundry would be very helpful for an extended stay. The new pool complex, pool was a bit cool and there needs to be more lounging areas, day beds etc.. Also a bar up by the beach would be great, however the villas and the sheraton are all linked so you have use of many facilities. Wardrobe door not closing! Very little shower pressure!. The aircon was quite loud. Ridiculously expensive!! Every time we turned around there was a fee for something. WiFi was poor at best. Food was mediocre and hideously overpriced. I've never understood why it is that the more a place charges the less you get in return. Very pretentious place on the outside but the management team at corporate Westin are disconnected from what a 5 star resort should look like. Very average food but paying Sydney prices. Ordinary wines charged at over-inflated prices. Reception. Wouldn't accept the details of our Bookings.com voucher. Disputed the number of rooms and subsequently issued the third room debiting my visa without my knowledge or authority. Westin restaurants are very expensive. No cutlery or bowls in rooms. They charge to deliver them if you ask. There was a power cut for the 2 days we were there. The generator allowed us to use the lights and fan but there was no air conditioning or TV. This made our room uncomfortably hot and for the price we paid we expected more!.
