Safaga Hotels

We spent Easter at the Residences des Cascades in Soma Bay. The hotel is excellent - the service was first class particularly the lady in guest relations who organised our trip to Cairo and changed our flights back to the UK as we extended our stay. Nothing was too much trouble - we even had a man collecting our balls when we played tennis! The food is buffet style but varied and good - particularly the desserts and breakfast buffet. We stayed in a suite overlooking the ocean which was amazing - - Clegg

Mostly russians, swiss and german people in the hotel. I had no troubles with anyone. The lies at the beach are occupied verx quick. You have to place a towel at about six in the morning on a lie if you want to lie there. If you forgot you can lie at the pool. Every evening there is a animation show, that ends at 22:30. At the beach you find a padi diving center. There is not really much nigthlife. - Robert

Having been to Egypt twice before, we had an idea of what to expect. Warm sea, average to good food and friendly staff. This hotel met our expectations. We booked the holiday through Wave Riders, a specialist kite surfing company as I wanted to go kite surfing in warm water rather than the cold south coast.
