  Staff are fabulous. They serve you before you even think to ask them. I ordered room service and one of the dishes I didn't like its taste, but I just left it and my friend ate hers. When they got back the table, and saw that I haven't eaten what I orderes, they called me to ask what was wrong with the dish and I simply told them I didn't like its... what people say » taste, they apologized and offered to serve me another dish on them, and they sent a complimentary fruit platter as well. The staff at breakfast are - probably the best location possible in cairo, right on the nile (just a couple of blocks away from tahrir square and the egyptian museum). i felt safe in the hotel..despite the revolution going on (with guns and tanks and protestors) just a couple of blocks away. :) the hotel security was good (with extra guards and metal detectors at the front entrance). also, the roof-top pool was very nice and welcoming.

  The location of the hotel was wonderful, right on the Nile with wonderful views of the river, it was also within walking distance of the Egyptian Museum and Cairo Tower. It was very pleasant sitting in the floating bar/restaurant and watching the world go by on the river. The staff were very polite and extremely helpful.   The staff is terrific. The pool area is nice. we had a junior suite with two rooms and two balconies overlooking the Nile. I highly recommend upgrading to a suite if you can afford it.
