The hotel was beautiful - chandeliers throughout the entry hall and restaurant. The room was stylish, spacious including two couches and a desk. The staff were particularly helpful and friendly. Free parking, and right next to local restaruants. Egeskov castle only 25 mins drive away. HIGHLY recommend this hotel. Grand old building that has been modernized over the years. Rooms are quite spacious with very comfortable beds and sitting area. Restaurant and food a bit pricey, but very good. Very close to the train station and all the city sites, including the main shopping district.

I preferred the first time when I was in the front building. close to the city center. The morning table was quite nice. The room I stayed in was spacious, and the bath comfortable. I had heavy luggage with me and requested a room closer to the front desk when I booked the room but never got a reply and got the pleasure of hauling luggage up stairs. Room service is only served until 10pm. NOT useful when you're working later or coming in later. Nothing. Got the back building this time.. In spits of the textiel in letsbookhotel.com there weer no sauna or massage faciliteit. Our room showed some wear and tear and the floor was a bit dusty. We had a street facing room that was was very noisy but this is part of the hotel's character compared to a faceless out-of-town hotel. No air-conditioning in rooms, difficult to sleep with window open when next to noisy street, flush in toilet did not work, would have expected some price reduction but none offered. The room and bathroom were too small for two people with suitcases. There was no wardrobe, just a couple of big hooks for hanging clothes. Housekeeping staff do a perfect job with bed linen.
