It is very nice renovated vila in Prag 5 with very nice rooms and apartments, good breakfast and very good informativ and friendly staf that answered all our questions and spoke very good English. Car parking is included in price which is very good. It is very nice quiet area with lot of greenery and parks which we liked. 8 minutes to metro is true, but it takes a bit more from metro to hotel because it is uphill when you go back, but it didn't bother us. all reviews » Very nice location, on a hill overlooking Prague and a stone's throw from Mozart's villa (Bertramka). The building must have hosted a state guest house from the Communist years. Rooms are spacious, with high ceilings and a grandiose Soviet feel to them. There is a haute cuisine restaurant downstairs, which gets a fair share of clients from outside (mostly locals in the know). The menu is top class and the prices very reasonable. Very fast free internet. Overall great value for money. Highly rec. This hotel had spacious rooms (our booking was a family room) and was renovated with good bathroom fittings. It is a little distance from the old town and in fact you walk a good kilometer to get to the train station but we chose this hotel because it offered secure on site car parking. We also ate at the restaurant one night during our stay and it was good food and generous serves. I would recommend this hotel as long as you were aware of the distance from public transport. The breakfast was very tasty and plentiful, the rooms nice and clean. The staff is nice. The relatively close 4-5 tram stops from the center. The hotel is in a quiet peaceful neighborhood. The wi-fi worked well in the hotel. The closed car park and free. The food in the hotel was excellent. I took a salad with beef and mango and it was extraordinary as well as the service. The breakfast is simple a la carte. I had a beautiful view from my room and the parking was included, which is rare in Prague. Clean, cosy & quiet, while still family friendly and not far to the subway and thus to the city centre. Very friendly and helping staff, all English speaking. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Quiet area. The breakfast buffet has a wide margin for improvement. As long as you don't mind the walk it is good option for a good price. There was not much light in the room as I had to study. Also the internet was quite slow. One staff guy was pretty offensive, attacking us verbally at the last breakfast before departure, when we made two sandwiches (one per person) to take on the journey. He was almost shouting at us in front of everybody that it would be not allowed to take out any food. I am sorry, but the bread was standing on our table and so he traded his tips for two slices of cheese and ham... It's too far to walk into town - we took a cab to go out at night. Small room, but no problem for one or max. two nights. The hotel do not look like the pictures on the website. And its on top of a hill. So it will be a bit hard for those travelling without a car. family room a bit crammed with slanted ceiling. it is not a four star hotels, maybe 3 will be more in conformity with reality. Location, location, location. It is a fair walk up- or downhill to the nearest public transportation, so getting to and from can be a time-consuming hassle. And there was no minibar in my room at least. 1. Quite poore breakfast. 2. The smell from the kitchen goes all over hotel (rooms too). 3. When booking I've asked for a double bed, but got a room with twin beds. 4. On the room table there was a mini-bar price list, but there was no mini-bar in the rooom. The hotel was hard to locate; the sign is small by the roof. Its also in a pretty rundown area. So it was kind of scary coming back to the hotel after dark. No elevator in the hotel. I had 2 huge bags no one would help me to carry to the room. Reception working hours until 11 pm??!! Beds are not comfortable could not sleep at all. Bad breakfast, rooms are not 4 star standard- at least 3 with good will. Staff is unfriendly. Bathroom is ridiculous. Better to pay more at a 3 star hotel but having better stuff and being closer to the city. The way to underground takes 15 minutes downhill and way back is very exhausting.
