The Akcent hotel is situated on the 7th floor of a 1930s' office building in Functionalist style right at the Anděl metro station and boasts splendid views over Prague from all of the rooms. Guest can benefit from the near entrance to the metro, it is just 20 metres from the property. A supervised outdoor car park is available at an additional cost for guests' convenience. The spacious and nicely furnished rooms feature a balcony, air-conditioning, hairdryer, safe, a satellite TV, tea and coffee making facilities, a fully stocked mini-bar and free Wi-Fi access. Daily lunch menus and an à la carte menu are served at the restaurant. Friendly and English speaking staff are at guests' disposal 24 hours a day. The hotel is situated in a quiet part of the Smichov district, from where several tram lines connect to the center of the city. The picturesque Lesser Town is just a 10-minute ride by the underground or 30-minute walk away. The Anděl City and Zlatý Anděl shopping centres are very close by. Moreover, the Nový Smíchov shopping, business and entertainment center with its 2 multiplex cinemas and several restaurants is just a 3-minute walk from the hotel.

The metro station is only 5 metres of the door of the hotel. Thereceiption was very warm-hearted and nice. The room is very big, thefacilities were quite new. The price is very good (with breakfastservice) according to the service they provided. We have got free upgrade. Excellent brakfast, position at the Metro (underground), silence at night.Location, close to the metro, tram and a big shopping center, helpful stuff, great value for money.

When I arrived they did not have a single roomed like I booked so they gave me a free upgrade to a double. The rooms have Internet if you have a laptop they will give you a cord for free to use (no wireless). The Metro is located about 5 steps from the front door, which is very convenient.comfortable and clean room-generous breakfast-good location (near metro station)-marvelous view from the balcony-very nice idea for covered quilts instead of blankets-I would like to stay again. The hotel is just ouside of the main tourist area and the metro is steps outside of the hotel so mobility is very simply. From the airport you can take public transportation directly to the hotel which takes about 45 mnutes. A 3 day pass which is good for metro, bus and tram costs about 20$.Proximity to metro(just outside the door), breakfast included. It's in a nice location, away from the main tourist areas but still within easy reach and with all conveniences nearby: pharmacy, bars, restaurants, bank machine... We were also right across from the Staropramen brewery where we went on a guided tour. The only thing I didn’t like was that I tried to go to a show and they Theater moved and we didn’t have the correct address so I missed the show. The Hotel gave me back my money no problem. I found the theater later and told the hotel where it is located for future guests.In the evenings the ground shook when a tram passed. But I soon got used to it. just be warned there are stairs to get into the hotel which is a pain when you have a baby in a`pusher. We loved the akcent and had a wonderful stay. We recommend that they don't use the dreadful dandb taxi firm and book metered taxis if customers specifically request them. For the most part access to the Metro right outside the front door was a bonus - unfortunately, the area around the entrance to the Metro was not always clean and this could lead you to believe that it was not a desirable area to stay in.Everything was actually perfect except for the wake up call on the morning of departure. We requested wake up at 6;30 and they didn`t call us until 7:00 am. Fortunately we had set our cell phone to wake us up as otherwise we would have been late for our flight but otherwise the service was excellent. There was a buzzing noise coming from the electric meter in the room, there also could have been more tv channels in english - one for films for example. Quite cool in the room, no direct parking. Difficult to find the hotel due to small sign.Breakfast could be better, more variation. Windows let in some street noise, eventough it is 6th floor. Not too bad anyhow. Balcony is nice, but could be tidier. I want to emphasize that these are not complaints considering the price of the hotel, just remarks on things that could be better. In the ideal world, tea and coffee making facilities in the room would have been nice, and a couple of times we came back to find that the maid had left the balcony door or window open (in late November!!!). But overall a very good hotel.The pillows were too soft, with no substitute in the wardrobe. Do not have enough parking places.A bit noisy outside the first night, then got used to and didn't noticeit anymore. Midnight eaters will be upset as the sport bar in the hoteldoesnt have any food and the hotel restaurant closes early. The receptionist was very confused about the booking.com reservation. The wired internet was very slow.I don t know about any problem. They said they have internet in the room but I tried with two connectioncables they gave me and I never could connect.
