  You can not ask for a better location for a hotel. The view of the Karlstejn Castle from our room was amazing. The walk up to the castle was a breeze due to location as well. The staff was friendly and the room was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. No eggs to order which was a little disappointing for a 4 star.   Penzion Karlstejn Vinice was amazing. Initially I wasn't expecting much for a budget hotel, but it really surpassed my expectations. The room was spacious, comfy, clean and warm (I hate cold rooms where you can't turn on radiators!). Breakfast was more than enough for two, the staff were so lovely and always on hand to offer us advice on where ... what people say » to go and what to see. When we checked out, the lady even gave me a box of biscuits! I would definitely recommend to stay! - The staff was very friendly (and the restaurant she recommended was excellent). The room was big and comfortable. The value for money is good.

  We had decided to stay in Karlstejn and see the castle then travel into Prague rather than the other way round. Karlstejn is practically closed down in the evening and this pension has the advantage of having an open restaurant and is not on the busy main streets.   Wow, did I love this place. The host made sure we had what we needed and made us feel knowledgable of the area. We had a 3 person studio and stayed 2 nights. It was perfect for us. We walked to the train station to access Prague and so much enjoyed our walks. There was a steep gravel road, not for everyone, but we even enjoyed the workout and... what people say » the bridge across the river. 20 min walk to train station. We 3 are in our 50's and just loved the entire area around the Penzion. - Excellent attitude. Clean, spacious rooms.
