We only stayed in this apartment one night, with a very last-minute (same day) booking, but were really impressed with the place. All the lighting, fittings and decoration are beautiful, the bed was comfy, and we enjoyed the complementary fruit and coffee. If you prefer self-catering this is much, much nicer than an equivalent hotel for the price. We arrived around 6.30pm and were met by a very friendly host who was exceedingly helpful with regard to making us feel at home and find our way arou. all reviews »
Absolutely loved these apartments!!! There are 3 apartments in total and
I was with 3 other girls. So we were 2 each to an apartment. The
pictures look exactly like the apartments. They were very upscale, had
great showers, comfortable beds, air condition, tv with cable, fridge,
cooking area, etc. My friends all said this was the best place they have
ever stayed at, even better than a hotel!.
Fantastic location; minute walk from city center but very quiet location. Fantastic hosts, extremely customer oriented and always willing to help. Rooms are very well decorated, modern and albeit small offer everything you need. Coffee machine in room nice touch, as is free water in fridge and a basket of fruit!.
The apartment was sleek, clean, modern, and was a decent size.
Nela was a tremendous help. She was always available, and knew a lot about Split and its sites.

The location: the apartment is 5 minutes from the city center.
We were met at bus terminal which was unexpected. Was told a little bit about the town as we walked to our room, about 15 minutes, lovely room, 5 minute walk to main street of Split. Would definitely stay there again.
The hotel is a stone throw away from the old town. Design of the room is new and cool. Comfortable bed and they provide free fruits and coffee. The reception that welcome us gave us loads of tips.
Rooms were in great condition. Location is excellent and free parking is big plus. Staff was really nice and helpfull. Next time we come to split we will definatley consider magnolia.

The young girl who took us through the apartment who was born and raised in Croatia was extremely proud and knowledgable about the area.

While the place is very convenient for reaching the Old City, the immediate locale of the apartments are a bit uninspiring, consisting of basically a big car park.
The apartments are very hard to find. There is no big sign saying
Magnolia Apartments. We had to get a local to help us find it. When we
got out of the taxi near Hotel President there was a lot of graffiti on
the walls and threw us of off - we thought we were in a bad
neighborhood. However, when you go to the Magnolia apartments there is
no graffiti and the outside is deceiving as you would never know there
were luxury apartments inside.
It's hard to find on GPS however Nela was an amazing host and easily helped us find parking.

Unfortunately there was a black out in local area in morning which meant no electricity. Minor problem really.
Nothing.....everything was perfect.
When we came to hotel our bedroom floor was little dirty. Only little crumps and dust, but cleaning floor isnt big deal. Next day room was cleaned perfectly.
There was a little confusion with parking when we were leaving. The parking was free, but the person working the main lot booth didn't seem to know the parking arrangement with Magnolia and the language barrier made it difficult to work out the details. Maybe Magnolia could provide a dual language document to people that are staying so that they can hand it to the parking booth workers when leaving in order to avoid confusion.
Upon check out, there was no one to leave the with in the office.
It is extremely hard to find the apartments as there is no sign on the laneway.
It took us about 15 mins walking around in the dark to find it.
Parking lot entrance leaves something to be desired. Not soundproof, can hear the neighbors and their dog but not too bad.
no patio to dry towels - location ok in terms of proximity to centre but surrounding area little run down.
