The rooms were nicely decorated and had excellent lighting. The location was superb and allowed a day in Split to be divided up between some time in the old town and some time at the beach. The blonde receptionist (forgotten her name) was delightful and the main waiter was helpful with an excellent sense of humor! The use of the hot tub in the early evening was also highly enjoyable. Finally breakfast was top notch!.

The staff were so friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble - absolutely delightful especially the manager. The breakfasts were good and cooked eggs to order and could sit outside on the square to eat. Jacuzzi & sauna on rooftop which was really nice. The hotel's position is inside Diocletian's palace in the heart of Split so everything is within walking range. This is a small hotel so there can be problems like smaller bathrooms since this is the old building that got renovated, but the rooms are all modern and with plenty of space. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was brilliant and the rooms were lovely, modern, stylish and clean. The staff were nice.. And Doris made the experience more than fantastic by being so lovely and so willing to help us with anything we needed. She was a delight to meet. We would definitely stay here again. If you wish to sleep where was sleeping Dioklecijan this is right location for you.(worldvide known Dioklecijan palace). Strongly recomended. The hotel was located in the Diocletian's Palace. It was easily accessible to much of the sites in Split. The location of the hotel is excellent - very close to the harbour and in the heart of the old city. Location was excellent. The main reception man was a little miserable and despite arriving at 2:45pm we were unable to check in until 4pm. Not hot water was a pain before dinner but these were minor blips in a good three day trip!. Stayed in a ground floor room close to reception and it was pretty noisy. There was also a bar/club next door popular with Splitvians which was very noisy although now closed for the season. Suggest when you book the hotel, ask for a room on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd floor. Glass doors to the bathroom is not a really good choice, but they said there's a plan to fix that asap, so it could be fixed before your next stay :). Nothing. Could not dial down to reception number in book was wrong. Ran out of hot water one night. Bring earplugs if you don't want to listen to the chruch bells all night. Though this concers other hotels in the old town too. No carpark. nothing. The man in the reception was so little helpful when we arrived. He did not inform us about anything, not Even the hot tube. Quite expensive just to be inside the palace walls. Quite difficult to find. There was no shelf to place the soap or shampoo in the shower, so had to be placed on the floor. A bit inconvenient. Hopefully will be improved. As it's in the old town there is no parking available close by. Bathroom, although it had a hot tube, there was no shower curtain so when having a shower, the floor was completely soaked. Still having teething problems with renovations. One of our four nights, a Friday, the bar on the hotels lower level played loud music until one in the morning. The breakfast was not to our taste as much as others eg only cereals were cornflakes and cocoa pops. A little noisy on level one. Some of the rooms were recently redecorated and you can get headaches from the lingering paint fumes. It appears the hotel is a work in progress. To be a superiorroom we had expected a bigger room for the price of 240€. It was hardly possible to walk around the bed. The room was a bit noisy, from outside and the hall way. Breakfast could be better. Overpriced. Morning noise under the window. Dust under the bed. The remodel and design appears to have been done by an insane person or by someone who ran out of money at an awkward time. Staff very unhelpful, especially regarding validated hotel parking, which is difficult to find. Also unhelpful regarding restaurants when I inquired. Not the best value, given the price, even though we were upgraded. Access to the hotel with bags- we had to go up and down stairs because of inadequate advance info. Not being informed that construction work was going on at hotel and that room was very small. Also description on letsbookhotel.com states jacuzzi on roof, but no mention from staff and no mention of this in information book in room. This hotel dont correspond the 4 stars he have.the service was not for an 4 stars hotel because the air condition dont have function more than one day and the personal didnt react on this problem.it was very hot and heavy inside the room over the night that I had to go outside to sleep on a bank attending that the air condition have be repair.also when we arrived we got a room who was still occupated from other person so that we have signalated to the receptionist and we got an other room. Our rooms were on the 3rd floor. It was similar to staying In a spare room of any attic. My 6 foot son and 6'3" nephew couldn't walk around without hitting their heads. The most disappointing item is the hotel did not put up bathroom doors. Some brilliant designer thought the room would look great without a bathroom door. When I complained to the staff that we had no bathroom door, she basically said "oh well"!. The superior double room is NOT what it says. It was a very small room with twin beds that had been put next to each other. To describe this as luxury 5 star accommodation is a joke. The breakfast was also very disappointing and was what I would expect from a back packer's hostel, it was in no way luxurious. Room was not finished no curtains, lights hanging from ceiling. Noisy drilling going on until 7 pm then light at 6am due to no curtains. Breakfast was not replenished so very limited choice.
