Friendly and assistive staff. Fifteen minutes walk to Plitvicka Lakes Park (entrance one). There is also paid parking right at Park entrance. There is an alternative walking route from main road, a track off road opposite sign "apartment seven" will take you to just inside the park entrance. Meals nicely cooked, large serves and good value. Hot and cold selection for breakfast. Family hotel situated near the beautiful Plitvice Lakes. Excellent starting point to visit them. The rooms are clean and well furnished with free WiFi. Rich and delicious breakfast. The restaurant offers delicious grill, which should not be missed. I strongly recomend it. Owners are very nice and hospitable family. Free parking.
all reviews » The family who ran the Pansion was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect - right near to the Plitivice Lake National Park Gate 1. Breakfast and dinner were on offer which was very convenient and saved us from having to search for places to eat in a place where there wasn't much available. We loved staying there. Breakfast included in price was very good and we had dinner there one night also. Chef Daniel made lamb with potatoes and vegetables in the outside oven cooked under the bell ( special order day before ) and as I expected it was far the best lamb I've ever had. Just spectacular!. We had a great stay at Krizmanic. The staff was friendly and the location is good. We had a double room that had good space and a nice sized bathroom. The restaurant was fantastic with a good selection of meal options and fresh food and excellent service. The breakfast was also quite nice. Lovely room! The accommodation is also located within walking distance to Plitvice Lakes (about 15 minutes walk - ask for the hidden trail to Plitvice Lakes!). After a fantastic day at Plitvice Lakes, we enjoyed a yummy dinner at the accommodation itself. We had a very friendly reception from the staff, and were delighted to discover that we could get dinner on the premises, which saved us having to drive further afield after a long journey. We had some difficulty finding the Pansion - some clear directions would have been good. Wifi is fast or slow, it depends on how many people use it. But it didn't bother much anyway. Without a car it was too far - especially as it was raining. Although they do serve an evening meal, the menu was very limited. My partner is vegetarian, though he will eat fish occasionally; but he did not fancy fish that had been grilled on the same grill as meat, so we were not really able to eat at the Pansion. Bathroom (especially shower) requires some face lift. Shower was a bit quirky, but worked once figured out. Some hot water problems No sidewalk to park entrance. Breakfast not so good. Would be great to have coffee/tea making facility in the rooms..... Example: hot water jug, cups, coffee, tea, sugar, spoons. No soap in the bathroom and owners could supply any. Room still not made up by late afternoon. Prices of meals; Staff fairly grumpy. Rooms are a little dated (but comfy). They don't make the beds or clean the room during our stay in the hotel. Despite booking for two nights we were shown to a cramped dark room at the back of building. Other later guests were given the more spacious and airy rooms which disappointed us when we found out. The bathroom was too small and plumbing a bit dodgy.
