Nestled on the picturesque Poreč promenade Valamar Riviera Hotel & Residence with adjoining elegant Valamar Villa Parentino and Valamar Villa Guilietta offer stunning views of the Sveti Nikola island and is just few steps from the historic old town. The free shuttle boat stops just in front of the hotel and takes guests to Sveti Nikola island where a part of the beach is reserved for the Valamar Riviera's guests. The private beach is only a 5-minute boat ride away and features baldachines, loungers and parasols, available at a surcharge. The Blue Flag awarded beach with its pristine and clear sea is 400 metres away. The elegantly decorated rooms feature air conditioning, a flat-screen satellite TV and a minibar. The private bathroom come with a bath or shower, a hairdryer and free toiletries. Some rooms have a private balcony with sea views. A rich breakfast is served until 11:00 at the show-cooking buffet restaurant. For a lighter bite you can enjoy an aromatic coffee and croissants on the terrace or in the lobby area. Great Istrian delicacies such as creamy fuži with tartufi (home-made pasta with truffles), wild asparagus and green salads with local olive oil provide for culinary pleasures.

The staff were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Easy disabled parking for my husband - maybe the time of year helped. Very comfortable beds, pillows and very efficient shower. Excellent to have both BBC World and Sky News - very rare! Perfect balcony for people and boat watching. - Free taxi boat to St Nicolas Island. - Very nice beach on St Nicolas (excepting the stones...) - Employees from the hotel are extremely professional - Restaurant is very good (try the risotto with truffles) - Location is perfect as you are in the heart of the town and on the old port.
all reviews » The room was very nicely appointed and had 2 balconies over looking the harbour. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. We particularly enjoyed having our breakfast outside. Oliver in the reception was very helpful helping us changing room from a very small room on first floor to a bigger one on third floor. Good breakfast. Bathroom had a pillar in a funny place which made entry to the bath a little tricky. The pictures of the superior room with ocean view are incorrect, they do not have superior rooms in the main buildning that look like that. Sunbeds should be included in the room rate. We could not dry our beach towels and bathdresses in the room, because it had no balcony and it was not possible in the room. The bathroom had a bad smell. The sunbeds are very expensive on the hotel-beach, despite of the room price was one of the most expensive in the town. Same character as any big hotel. Lacks spontaneity. -room that was offered was too small to move around although we booked a room with balcony and seaview (did not get it...) -parking was required but we did not manage to get a place next to the hotel but 1km from the hotel. None. The rather small "superior" room. Some days the service (coffee and fresh juice) at breakfast was very poor; other days it was rather good. Extremely small rooms (bathroom), poor organization of service during dinners and breakfast.
