My couple and I were in Plitvicka Jezera last August. We did not plan it in advance and we had no reservation at any hostel, so after three hours looking for accomodation we found ourselves with no place to sleep! I just wanted to thank the staff of Pansion Winnetou for being so helpful because altough they didn't have any vacancy at their place, and that it was really late they managed to find a great apartment for us! Thanks for everything, maria and Josep.
all reviews » The staff was very nice and very friendly. Room and bathroom were clean and renovated. It is easy to find and few minutes driving from Plitvicka Jezera. The restaurant/kitchen is opened on evening and ordered food was delicious. We recomend to stay there and for sure try restaurant. Lovely stay in this "pansion" so conveniently close to the Plitvice Lakes (one of the best location to get there), with welcoming and very friendly hosts, great rooms but we especially loved the general atmosphere of the place, all in wood and furnished with taste. Great location, very close to the 2nd entrance to Plitvice National Park. Fantastic staff - incredibly friendly and helpful. Nice, clean, comfortable rooms. A very pleasant evening. Would definitely go again. Very nice breakfast and the guy at the reception was super friendly and helpfull. The pension is only 5 mins away with a car from the entrance to Plitvice national park. On a very busy main highway to Zagreb, that was so noisy even with windows closed, difficult to sleep. The beds were tiny, so my husband had to sleep diagonally. Wifi only in restaurant so my girls were unhappy. Not working internet connection in the room. Broken window at balcony door.

Information about the area

The southern entrance to the Plitvice Lakes National Park is about 4,5 km away. Visit the stalactite cave of Baraceve Spilje, the castle ruin of Dreznik grad, go rafting on the Una river at Bihac, go bathing in the river coming from the lakes in the village of Korana, admire the Rastoke watermills and waterfalls, visit the brown bear's enclosure and go in winter. Rides in horse-drawn carriages are offered during winter in the Winter Wonderland of Lika and Kordun.
