We had a great host with excellent English and were given a complimentary drink on arrival. He gave us recommendations of where to eat out and shared the homemade brandy too! Room was very clean and nicely furnished in a beautiful setting. Would definitely return ourselves if we visit plitvice again and would highly recommend to others. Pictures are realistic but don't particularly do the place justice (i.e. it's nicer when you get there than the pictures suggest).
all reviews » My sister and I were in Holiday and really enjoyed our stay here. Note- I believe this is the newer/smaller version of the Pansion house that the original owners father built and runs. It is a little farther outside of the park (3k?) but made no difference with a car. The proprietor was very attentive and the rooms were well kept and clean. Added bonus: the water pressure in the shower was fantastic!. Clean new b & b facility, run as a friendly family operation. Perfectly positioned as a base for visiting the marvellous Plitvice Lakes National Park without staying in one of the out-dated over- priced hotels within the park. An excellent restaurant is just 8 km down the road. This was our second stay. Nice house, spacious rooms, well equipped bathroom. Easy to find (on D8), very close to the 2nd entrance to Plitvice NP. Good breakfast. Friendly owner, who does not speak English, but welcomes guests with a drink. We loved our hosts. They were very hard working and made every effort to make our stay excellent. The rooms were really nice and the breakfast room and breakfast were wonderful. I will highly recommend Pansion House Prijeboj to others. Good beds, friendly family who own it, cozy fireplace in breakfast room where we were welcomed with a choice of a glass of wine or beer while we chatted that first evening. Cozy fire the next morning, too. Would like to keep in touch. Fantastic service and great staff! The rooms were very comfortable and well kept. We felt like valued guests, and appreciated the honest hospitality we received! Also, it's a great spot for Plitvice Lakes - only about 8 minutes away. We liked everything - the room, the garden with this small brook, the whole place at all. The staff is so kind and hospitable. My kid loved playing aroung. The house is about 10km away from the first entrance to Plitvice Lakes, which was very convenient for us. Also close to several restaurants. The welcome, car parking, beds comfy while room small. The location is just a 7 min walk to the centre. It's cheap and cheerful, access to tea kitchen, some neighboured noise into the night, but hey this is Europe!!!. Close to the road so we could hear the noise of cars passing by. In a building 200 years old it would be unfair to not like anything. The place is fine. As it is next to the road,you have to take the car for everything. Internet connection was very slow. Would be good to have tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. Be aware that there are no supermarkets near the lakes (unless you want to drive 12km to the nearest one) so stock up before you go!!. Nothing. It was perfect. My only complaint is that the Wifi didn't work well. I saw the router in the first floor hallway, but we were in a room one floor above and I guess the signal just couldn't reach us. It was impossibly slow and you couldn't do anything online. Owner doesn't speak English, only German. They could add some flyers or a map of the national park. Internet was really slow. Breakfast was a scarce affair. The wi-fi is not working properly. The isolation (32 km from the next gas station. Wifi connection slow and you will need a car to get supplies or head out for a meal. Nothing.
