Our host was great! Her husband drove us to the ferry/bus port early in the morning to catch us a bus.The room was great. Had full facilities and very private. Couldn't hear the other guests which was nice. Margita was always available to answer questions. I stepped on a sea urchin while I was there and she was great at helping me feel less worried and gave me advice on getting the spines out. It was a bit of walk down to the beach, but it was straight down stairs. Didn't take too long, maybe 1.
all reviews » The apartment was very luxurious. It was spotless and had beautiful views of the sea and islands around Hvar. The apartment had a great porch with a big table and chairs. The beach was just a short walk from the apartment and a little store was about a five minute walk. The town of Hvar was about a fifteen to twenty minute walk along the beach, but I was told it was less if you walk by road. There was room for parking our big van too (at no extra charge). We were very satisfied and even contemp. We loved our stay at Apartments Viskovic Margita. Our only disappointment was that we had only one night to enjoy here! Our room was exceptionally clean, with everything you might need in the kitchen space, and a fantastic view from the balcony. The location was perfect for us--a pleasant 10 minute walk to the Old Town, which is a perfect distance from the crowd. Margita and Boris, the owners, are such a friendly and helpful couple who even picked and dropped us off from the Old Town. Overall r. Very clean appartment. Also the hostess was very friendly! She gave us a nice bottle of wine and an excellent dessert. Location is good if you don't want to be in the city center where it can be very crowded. It is approx. 15 minutes walk to Hvar Town. From the appartment it is very close to a very nice beach/bay and you have a nice sea view. Also the supermarket is closeby. We stayed in the studio apartment. It looks pretty new and spacious. There is a grocery store nearby (5 min walking). You have to be in a good shape, because to reach the main square you need about 20min walking (with some steps). Not that this is a problem. The neighborhood is good, quite enough to have a good night of sleep. I definitely recommend this place. These apartments were immaculately maintained. They are bright, airy, spotless, fully equipped and quiet. The owners take great pride in their apartments to make sure that the guests are fully satisfied. It was only a short 15 minute and very beautiful walk into Hvar centre. I will definitely return. The location and view. We actually quite enjoyed the stroll to/from the center. Especially after the wonderful meals had. It does take around 15-20 minutes but worth every step. Wow!. The view and layout of the apartment were incredible. There's a grocery store within 100m, the town is a 15 min stroll. I wish we could have stayed for a lot longer. Excellent fully equipped apartments. Well located 15 min walk to the Old Town, 3min walk to the seashore and rocky beaches. Onsite parking a real bonus in this location. Clean and very comfortable. a very good house to spend some days. It has everything necessary. It's calm and you only need 15 minutes to be in the center. Great apartment with a terrace overlooking the ocean. Margita was very helpful. Super clean and perfect location to swim ~. spacious rooms, wi-fi, seaview, quiet area. all the rest was very good. Clean, cozy and well-equipped room. A spatula in the upstairs apartment would have been good, but we were able to borrow one from the apartment below where our parents-in-law were staying. This is just a minor issue though. That I couldn't stay longer !. The kitchen could be a little more equipped. Would be nice to offer guests some essentials: tea bags, coffee filters and or kitchen towels. Also, one side of the apartment (and the bathroom) had ants and since we were spending the whole days outside, it wasn't bothering us much until they crawled into our bags. That wasn't fun. I can't think of anything that wasn't perfect. If the apartment were closer to town, it would just be noisy. I think it strikes the perfect balance. Anyone with mobility issues may have a problem with the hills and stairs but that would be a generic issue in Hvar or many Croatian coastal apartments. Nothing. The heating could be working, cause it was a cold night. Nothing. I want to go back!. Location was not perfect. To get to the beach there's many steps, and it's also a bit far from Hvar town. Maybe for this price you can find something with slightly better conditions (like e.g.: view, more spacious...). no walking distance from the old town, no parking lot for our car. no air conditioning in bedrooms, only in kitchen. It's quite long way from the ferry station. The google map was totally incorrect. If you type the hotel name on the google map, you'll get wrong direction. It seems very close to the ferry station on the google map, but actually it isn't. You have to type the adress of this apartment on the google map and you can find it is far from the ferry station.
