the position was quiet yet near to beach, bus stops, shops. The peaceful garden was a real asset as we could eat breakfast out there or chill out there with a drink at the end of the day. The hotel was small and intimate and very personal, the staff were excellent. The staff were very helpful. The garden is cool and shady, beautifully laid out. Breakfast buffet was good, with a wide range of options. the shower was excellent.all reviews »
Staff were very friendly and overall a very pleasant stay. Rooms were excellent and hotel was in a great location. Close to everything. It was in a quiet area with easy access to the centre of old dubrovnik city. Worth every penny. The staff were very friendly and helped with directions to city.Free internet access for guests. Location. good air conditioning in the room. good breakfast. room size, free internet in lobby. Location of this hotel was great - a short walk to the Lapad beach, pedestrian walkway with restaurants, supermarket, bank, post office and bus to Old Town. NOTHING!! We checked out after one night. Hotel has false advertising and hotel staff rude. See below.The rooms were a bit small, though the balcony made up for this. We found the air conditioning difficult to work out - but this may have been down to us rather than it. Difficult parking. showy shower turned to be less than a regular one. Breakfast was ok but some of the bread rolls were definitely at least 2 days old. Hotel was not signposted like others in the area, so it was a little hard to locate for a first time visitor.After check-in we were taken through 3 car parks and down another street. Our room in the "hotel" was not in the hotel but a separate building a few mins walk away. We did not feel safe here and the room was dark and the carpet worn. "Hotel" had lift and electronic key entry but we had lots of steps no lift and old style door key. We had paid for superior room! Do not stay!.

By Plane:
Dubrovnik airport is located about 20 km from Hotel Aquarius. In order to get from the airport to the hotel you can use the Croatia Airlines bus that connects to every regular flight and takes you to the main bus station.
By Bus:
To get from the main bus station to the hotel, we recommend a taxi. The alternative is to book with the hotel or a local agency a direct transfer from the airport to the hotel (on request). Public transport is well organised; a bus station is located within a 3-minute walk of the hotel.
Bus number 6 takes you directly to the old city centre and back. The ticket can be bought on the bus or at the ticket stand, and is valid for re-use in the next hour.
You can visit the islands by booking a boat tour. (Stands where you can book an excursion are located in the close proximity of the hotel).
