We were travelling as a group of friends - three mature couples - so we booked all three studio apartments and therefore had the whole house to ourselves. Our booking was handled very efficiently by Antun, the owner, who answered any questions promptly by email. He also organised a taxi transfer for us from the airport and we were met both at the airport and then at the drop off by the city gates by Antun's father, Pero. Pero showed us to the apartments and gave us plenty of information about w.
all reviews » Apartment was in a fantastic location. Literally the most central point in town. Easy to find and organise with Antun to be picked up at the main gate by Pero to show us to the apartment. We arrived in Dubrovnik without our suitcases after they were left in rome by the airline and ended up having to stay 3 nights in Dubrovnik without any clothes. The whole experience could've been so much worse, yet Pero was absolutely amazing and helped us by continually ringing the airport and even organising. you wont get a more central location with these apartments. you walk outside your door and are in the heart of the town centre. lots of space and very well stocked with kitchenware, towels, cutlery etc. even though it overlooks the square we didnt find it very noisy at night. supermarket close by. Antun, who showed us to the apartment was very kind and helpful. I would stay here again if I visit Dubrovnik and would recommend the apartments to others. we stayed in Apartment No: 2. The Location of the house in the Kovacka St. Is top, just in middle of the old town action and at same time hidden enough to offer space to retreat beyond mighty walls. The historical interior design of the rooms is done with quality and spends great atmosphere. Beside it the room layout is practical organized and all needed facilities are available. Petar, the Hotel manager, is kind, helping and awakes a lot of sympathy. Smack bang in the middle of old town. Everything close by and hidden bar in the alley which was less than 1/2 price of somewhere touristy. The room got charactor and good wifi for the price. It is noisy but when windows closed, amazingly quiet. Though still recommend to bring ear plugs and eye masks just in case. they will accommodate your needs on request - iron, hair dryer, more towls, etc etc. The owner is helpful, open-minded and customer-orientated in an unusual manner. He contacted us 10 minutes after the booking confirmation and was available for us at any time. The apartment is situated so well that you can watch and participate in everyday life better than on stage. We came as strangers and left as friends and are longing to come again in the next year. An extraordinary bargain. A hidden-away treasure, at the heart of the old city yet secluded. Pero met our car, took us to parking, kept the next-door (and excellent) restaurant open late for our dinner, and gave us invaluable tips about laundry, bus schedules, and all. All of Croatia has been wonderful, but Pero's place and the Dubrovnik surroundings are the best. The apartment was extremely clean, fresh and comfortable. The bathroom was a very decent size and modern. The location was superb, seconds away from the stradun which is the Main Street in the old town. The Wifi connection was pretty good too! It really was great - highly recommended!. Pero was waiting for us at the apartment and made sure we had everything we need, he also helped us to return our rented car and drove us back to the city. The apartment has views to the main street, its in an autentic croatian building and has everything you need. Excellent location and service ! Pero provides a personalized service from the beginning. To have in mind: credit cards are not accepted in a number of places in Dubrovnik. On the other hand, there are a lot of ATM. Ask before how to pay. The owners Father was very helpful, the location was great except people who might have a problem with stares need to know that by utilizing the north gate into the old town movement of luggage to bus connections is much easier. At first some confusion about location (I had an address that linked to the reception further up the hill). It turned out that the building itself is on the best location in town. Apartment was clean. The location was just perfect and the apartment was very nice. I could very well recommend it. As it was very rainy then I thought the apartment might be cold but no, it was warm and cosy. Owner, Pero, met us and was extremely helpful and gracious. Nice facilities. Incredible old Dubrovnik. All good. Great location, characterful apartment, plenty of space. Great location, great staff. The place was perfect!. We really liked our apartment and no problems overall. More of a budget location than luxury accomodation but really really nice. One bathroom/toillet for 4 girls were bit awkward but ok. Beds are in the loft without door, so if someone wants to stay up, no way of cutting the lights. But no one wanted to stay up after walking around so wasn't a problem for us. Nothing. This location would be impossible for a person with physical limitations--- more than 100 steps down the narrow street from parking and some 25 steep steps inside to our delightful garret room. Only one criticism, the shower wasn't always hot and I ended up having a couple of cold showers! Having said that, it was a huge shower and really powerful so if it had been warmer it would have been amazing!. That our vacation time ran out!. If you travel with very small children you have to watch out because the apartment has two floors and the open stairs in the middle can be a bit dangerous. Only drawback was the bell/clock towers nearby with a loud ding-dong sound every hour, even during the night. But we slept well however. Limited hot water, several cold showers during our stay. Interrupted sleep due to other house guests and loud groups below on the street through the night. Recommend ear plugs, was ok when we used them. Several flights of stairs, no lift. We really enjoyed our stay despite the negatives mentioned. The apartment was adjoined by two others and not at all soundproof. We did not hear a lot of outside noise but could hear the other guests. 3 flights if stairs to the top (and nicest) apartment, but worth the climb. No credit cards accepted. steep staircase up to bedroom. A very steep climb up from the Stradum. But good for you. The beds weren't very comfortable and the floor was a little dusty. A little bit old fashion (furnitures).
