I have to say that Tryp Sabanna has very well trained people in reception. All of them very courteous and very attentive to what I had to say which is very important to me. I was there pretty much with my fiancé celebrating the fact that we are going to be parents and also for relaxing reasons. Have no complaints even room service was great and very detailed. And the view was spectacular from my room.
all reviews » I stayed here overnight before catching a domestic flight to tambor. It's close to Pavas (tobias bolaneos) airport so was perfect. The staff were very helpful. The rooms very clean modern and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Lots to choose from!. Comfortable, clean, modern, good location, excellent breakfast, friendly staff (specially Oscar and Mario). The Junior suite has a 46" lcd tv set. If I go back to San Jose, I definitely will stay at the Tryp Sabana Hotel. Really comfortable hotel, definitely I would stay there again! Very nice restaurant, they took really good care of us. Really close to the Sabana Park, great for our morning run. Excellent quality hotel: very good price for a clean and comfortable place to stay. The breakfast was the best we ever had in hotel. The only little thing I didn't like about it was that there was a connectivity issue with their Internet. They did say they had wifi In my room on the 7th floor, which I needed to use for work reasons. Yet I was never able to connect with it throughout my stay. Even though I did bring it up to the receptionist attention twice. Not sure how central it is if you want to walk into the city. Nothing. 15 minute walk to the centre (1st aven) but we liked walking from passeo colon towards the main street (shopping area). The surroundings aren't so good, I mean, safe enough! The Gym is quite small. No vending machines inside the hotel, at least on the floor I was, so if I wanted a drink late night, the faucet was the only option!. Was annoyed that the do not disturb tag was ignored twice on the two nights I was there. It was a little noisy in the evening. Front desk staff could of been a little more educated on reservation and billing policies. 1) There was no place in the shower/toilet room except the floor to put anything down such as shampoo, my glasses, etc. Only a flat metal soap dish that wouldn't hold anything. 2) The hotel's gym room was so small that it really was useless. Not even a place to do a sit up. The machines were not well adjusted so that the pad on the running machine slipped and the striding machine banged. Nothing.
