Good location - 100m from main shopping street and metro station, close to restaurants and Bund. Very clean, new towels every day, soft beds what is not typical in China. Very good access to internet, Wi-Fi in the room was perfect. Breakfast very good but but for only Asian food lover. I like it. Very good location, close to subway lines 2 and 10. Bund 15-minute walk away. Breakfast in the Chinese version (fried noodles and rice, a boiled egg, crisp salads). Rooms clean, serviced daily. Internet access was available in the room 2F (login: room number, password: passport number).
all reviews » Location was excellent, 5 mins walk to 2 Metro stations. Beds are comfortable enough and rooms are decent. Its very practical and for the price you cant go wrong. Receptionists were very helpful and spoke excellent English. It's smack in the middle of two metro stations so that's a huge bonus, especially if you're going to be commuting. The hotel is also pretty close to The Bund and the East Nanjing Road area. we stayed one week in this hotel. considering the price, it was great! clean and having all the required facilities. rooms in 5th floor have great views. It is located in downtown and has a good access to any turistic places in Shanghai, but quite quiet place and has a reasonable price. We stayed in a room in river side and had a nice view. Internet does not always work in the rooms. Sometimes there is no hot water for the shower. The hallways and elevator floors are not very clean. The lobby and the rooms are pretty good. Every day at least once, you will get a business card for a massage that is pushed under your door. Weird. Internet & WiFi was down & not fixed the 2 days we stayed here, otherwise the hotel is good. For those who prefer bread and coffee for breakfast, the tipical Chinese and same breakfast for every day was no too confortable. But you cannot complain too much about it because it is very cheap anyway. Don't get fooled by the claim that they provide Wifi. It's almost nonexistent. You'll be lucky to check your email after suffering for 15 minutes. The rooms are a bit dirty. Disgusting breakfast. Shower didn't work properly. no wifi in the rooms if you don't have chinese mobile number. The bathroom was dirty with hair on the floor. The design of the shower door and drainage is bad so water leaks out of the shower onto the bathroom floor after each use. The size of the room is adequate but the hallway is very worn out. Not clean and not maintained; the only clean things were the sheets and the towels (well, these are the most important ones, isn't it?). The WiFi worked only in the lobby. Poor choice of breakfast items:. Wifi very poor in the room. No view in my room. The staff is NOT HELPFUL at all. First they dont speak English well and second they dont want to help you with small things like directions. They are really rude. We booked a family room and a room with a double bed. The hotel claimed we had booked two twin rooms despite us having the printed booking papers with us. They then tried to charge us more money than that which was stated on letsbookhotel.com. Connecting to internet was very frustrating. No internet to poor intermittent internet service. Had to use my cellphone data to access internet. Almost checked out after the first day due to frustrating internet. As a foreigner who speaks english, I need internet for information Toilet broke down several times, not a big issue. No spare toilet paper in room, had to ask lobby to send up toilet paper, again not a big issue. The internet is the main issue. Room was small and someone was smoking there before so the smell was just terrible. We stayed for 3 night and couldn't get rid of it. Terrible. The actitude from reception is very bad, and ask you for deposit instead of the reservation said no deposit needed. hotel is not clean no wireless in the rooms staff speak poor english and they are not helpful is not worth to pay its value break fast is really bad. Su nombre es engañoso(Holiday inn) pues no tiene nada que ver con la cadena de este nombre9 Jamas recomendaria este hotel , De hecho me mudé a otro hotel. terrible condition of hygiene, unfirendly staff, dirt, they proposed us services of an prostitute.
