Since it was a low season, we were upgraded to a much bigger room
without any additional charge. We were shown the smaller room that we
ordered and we think it is also comfortable. The staffs were friendly
but there is only one person who can speak English but it will not be a
problem since he is there most of the time.
The street around this hotel is a bit dark at night since it was a low season so not many tourists went there. At the night we arrived and we were looking for something to eat,

It was quite breathtaking-our room was 300 years old! Australia is not that old! The necessary amenities were so inconspicuously added, the overall charm and antiquity of the room was not altered at all. It was so warm and the heaters dried the clothes. I could go one forever, just go there, you will not regret your stay. And a traditional klang to sleep on! and pillows stuffed with wheat husks, a unique experience and comfy too.

We had a great stay, the rooms are fantastic! The owner does not speak English, but he does everything he can to make you feel at home. Also gave us a map. The location is great, outside of the main touristarea but still in the ancient city. The beds are not the softest, but where are they in China. The bathroom + room are clean. WiFi works good.

Our room was decorated in the old chinese arquitecture including own
bathroom, television and nice, big bed. The staff was very friendly and
helpful. If it was necessary to translate into English, they had the
possibility to contact someone for translation. In total, it was a great
stay in the hotel and we would come back anytime if possible.

Excellent, friendly staff! Went out of their way to provide us with a place to hang out while we waited for our midnight train. Also had a computer with internet access which helped us immensely in working out train ticket booking issue. Provided free pickup and drop off from and to train station. Overall, this is our favourite hotel of all time. The service provided by the staff was of the highest quality we have ever experienced. Tian Yi was a beautiful little Boutique Guest House full of chinese
decor and culture. Our room was small but so different to anything I had
ever stayed in before anywhere that it didnt matter. We really enjoyed
our stay there. Once we were able to communicate (through ITranslate app
on iphone) the staff were very helpful and we had no problem at all,
when we needed to book trains for onward journey's the drove us to
the train station and waited over an hour for us as we had so much
trouble try
